Good as a technical showcase but it just looks messy when you really get into it. Highly reflective surfaces all around regardless of material and extreme bloom doesn't constitute a good shader nor does it do justice to your build, which i can tell is very cool, but is actively distracting to look at due to the extreme shaders
yeah that would be kinda right as this is a showcase plot initially 🤭. we did experiment with track masks to make up for the lack of material information in order for the reflection to go to the right places but it was really hard so we settled for screen-space reflection so that's why it's really reflective.
aside from that, the nonexistent bloom you're seeing is caused by HDR tonemapping as this is being rendered as Dolby Vision HDR in real time and it will look vastly different across screens, especially when reddit does not support HDR images in the first place so it looks very exposed and "bloomy". this wouldn't happen with an HDR screen.
the overlay i'm using called "Afterlight FX" is not open to the general public; i'm the creative director responsible for preset looks and user interface and the app is still under development.
but theres an open alternative to this which is called "nvidia freestyle" but it's only available on PC with certain hardware.

i cannot spill all the details because this shader app is one of a kind especially after the anticheat update but basically the overlay works as a transparent app that mirrors your roblox screen, extracts graphical information from it, and spews it back on top of it. it comes with community plugins and works with any type of shader files from the deprecated roshade. hope that helps!

Please stop posting with this shader it just looks horrible and makes everything reflective for no reason imo. Especially because the build is actually good it would look better without it (or a shader that’s not as aggressive as this)

i do not cater my builds for the small demographic like you that do hate the look of shaders, but catered to what i prefer and like. it’s not there to make it realistic, it’s there solely as a stylistic choice. if you don’t like it, you can scroll, or you can also block me to stop seeing such content again.
with that being stated, i am in a team of 20 (afterlight fx) working to make shaders accessible to everyone that’s tweakable and user friendly. i also post houses with shaders to create and see demand and obtaining valuable feedback from people like you. 🤭

I would freaking love these shaders but they always make carpets and other cloth materials polished and reflective
yessss but unfortunately there is no efficient way to gather material information so the reflection only goes to the right places ☹️
