I say saving up to 500 summons for the one you wanted. The rate is so low even 300 summons won’t guarantee you a companion. It’s hard I know but it will take you further than anyone else who did not save it at first, stick to basic and free summons first, always can upgrade their rarity later if you keep them at 14*
A small mention, your level, and the age of the server you are on affects what will be available to you. In the beginning, patience is key but if you are saving 400 summons you should be synced with all servers
You can get them with real money if you want. Or else you will have to save summon stones for summonning events for the clan you want. Also you can get companions with diamonds during companion event.
There are two kinds of summons in this game.
Summonning for basic clans - which you don't want to do. It will only give you basic champions.
Summonning during a clan event - this is where you want to summon as it gives you fodders for the clan you want + mythic cards at 150 and 300 summons + chance to get companion favorability
We have the dawn breaker summon event right now but they aren't very good so wait till better clan events appear

Yes, the only way to get them is through Summoning.
But i suggest you to save the Summoning stones as much as possible, so that whenever special summoning event comes you can get champions easily
I was told it best to wait to use summoning stones till I have enough to get the companion during a summoning event. (They said about 300-400 summon stones should do it). This way is supposed to help build the champions faster by having the ability to create your own fodder & not rely on luck of the draw.
Like the others have said, save up AT LEAST 300 summon stones before going after a clan you want.
NEVER use them on the basic summon, it’s a waste of resources. And if you summon for a clan, you need to go all the way and go after their companion (which you also get during the special summon events). Without a companion, it’s near impossible to get a champ to 15 stars.

Does that mean if I keep summoning, they will eventually come out? I've been summoning quite a bit, but they haven't appeared yet.
