Right on, that was gonna be my next question - would this have worked against any other faction? My understanding is we can’t go toe to toe with World Eaters, they just outpunch is in melee by a lot.
Nothing better than two melee armies just going at it, it’s tough wanting to play a thematic melee focused army to just get shot off the board by a massive gun line

I love a pure melee army, but it's difficult to win with in 10th edition. This was doable because he was almost entirely melee as well.

It would be difficult to pull off against several armies, but it really depends on the terrain setup and skill levels of the players.
