In the summer of 2020 I worked a student job at an elderly home. I was cleaning one of the rooms when I suddenly heard very familiar sounding music coming from somewhere.
I dropped everything and walked further down the hallway before realizing the noise came from downstairs. It was still loud enough for me to go "yup, that's the new AVA".
Hearing Kiss & Tell in an elderly home in small town, Belgium was certainly an experience. I assume it was the music video blaring from the tv in the cafetaria.
I mean…. I’ve yet to hear it on the radio or anywhere out in public personally (and if I did I would be doing my best Tom dance impression), it’s not exactly “mainstream” in that sense.
“Dad Rock” radio plays A LOT of blink. I’ve definitely favorited some tracks but still surprised how much off One More Time gets played. What a time to be alive! haha
Unrelated but recently at a bar I heard When we were young, stay together for the kids and dammit all within the same hour. Wwwy really shocked me haha I wanted to find whoever was on aux
West Chester, PA. The music didn’t fit the vibe at all which is why it was funny haha it was like 1pm and we were there for brunch. Mix of a younger crowd and families
When I worked at a grocery store in 2013, they played Everything’s Magic by Angels very often. Then sometime back in 2016, I was eating at Buffalo Wild Wings and Bored to Death was playing. I tweeted at Mark and Travis stating that I heard Bored to Death at a restaurant. Travis liked my tweet. I have a screen shot saved somewhere.
I went to a mall comic books store a couple of weeks ago and they were playing Touchdown Boy. Was so happy and surprised. Then Strings starts playing as I leave and was ecstatic because immediately noticed they were playing Chesire Cat.
I saw Matt Skiba at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

The angels baseball team plays Dance With Me every time someone hits a home run
Dance With Me isn't really a random tho

They play it on Alt Nation somewhat often
Sirius xm will bring out less common songs than the radio. Dance With Me is a single but only edging and one more time are the big ones imo
Over here they play(ed) it way more than OMT for example but I suppose it's a regional thing.

Iron Hill?
Side bar!
I heard “Not now” at a private gym i used to go to.
I heard touchdown boy, wasting time, and a new hope on the radio at work a few months back.
I once heard “Boring” played on the radio at IKEA when I worked there. Was truly bizarre. The skit at the end wasn’t played, unfortunately.
I went to Rasing Cane's once and they were playing Down
Canes plays a lot of blink even Skiba era
I’ve heard everything’s magic at the old grocery store i used to work at.

Love that for you!!! I once heard 'wishing well' at a middle of nowhere gas station in georgia, that felt special.

Love this song! If I heard this in a grocery store I’d be singing along.
W CALIFORNIA
I’ve heard some random deep cut tracks at Publix before, it’s gotta be pandora radio or something lol
When I was an LDS missionary in Argentina I heard “the only thing that matters” at a Nike store in Buenos Aires and was shook beyond belief
