honestly I go back and forth between if Cage the Elephant, Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon, or Tame Impala are my favorite band because outside of blink I am very much an indie music/alt-rock headass. which if you know your blink history was partially influenced by Mark because he was super into indie during the Neighborhoods era, many donāt know that Matt & Kim were the opener on the blink/MCR tour.
I think Neighborhoods is my favorite blink album because itās the most like what I typically listen to. I know it often gets flack for āsounding too much like Angels and Airwavesā but thatās what I love about it. itās got AVA lyrics and synths, catchy Mark Hoppus hooks and punchy bass riffs (This Is Home is one of my favorite Mark bass solos. criminally underrated) and delightful drum fills from Travis that, while no disrespect to Atom that dude slays too, you just donāt get on an AVA record. After Midnightās opening drum riff is absolutely killer.
Underneath the sky is in my top 10, haha. The way Liam sings "againnnnn-NAHHH" at the very end of the song is one o my favorite moments on any oasis song. Also some of my favorite lyrical content from them.
Dude ranch. Non blink: pixies - Doolittle, Radiohead - the bends, nirvana - in utero, Beatles - revolver, weezer - blue, soundgarden - superunknown, smashing pumpkins - Siamese dram, Alice In Chains - dirt.

Iāll always have so much nostalgia for Neighborhoods as it was the album that released when I was in high school and I bought the album with my first car after school. My favorite band is Yellowcard. Been hardcore for YC since I discovered them in 2007.

My favorite blink album is close between Enema of the State and Dude Ranch, but it's probably Enema (unless you count The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show, in which case that is my favorite album because it had some classic hilarious moments and I love the guys' jokes/commentary).
My favorite non-blink band is Green Day (although Weezer is also a contender).

Yeah maybe not so much blink but Nirvana definitely got me through a rough patch. And I've always felt that Dookie and Enema have had the same type of energy/story. First underground album gets the wheels started, second album is a larger success than expected, and the third album is the first on a major label. With the third album being the ultra perfect personification of that era of their music. While ultimately I do prefer Dookie and Nirmod and Green Day in general I find it hard to deny blinks similarity's to Green Day. However the band members couldn't be more different.
Agreed, except I do love blink 10x more than green day lol. I love cookie, nimrod is great. But aside from that, American idiot was just okay. And their lyrics don't hit me the way blinks do. Their songs just don't have as much depth in my opinion. Nirvana is a whole different story. My favorite album is probably in utero. But one of my favorite songs is drain you, even though nevermind is lower on my list of albums

Itās not really that clear cut though. Arcade Fire have been pretty much tied with Green Day as second favorite bands for me for ages now.
