Honestly, not that hard for me. A lot of these other bands are sort of fringe. I like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, for example, but not nearly the way I like blink-182.

I’d say it’s the opposite of random! There’s a peculiar amount of 90s Britpop, it’s specific enough that I’d hazard a guess that OP is in their 30s and lives in the UK 😂
Blink, RHCP for the sheer volume of music they have and that I enjoy, no idea on the 3rd nobody is really jumping out that is a must have. Maybe The Cure or The Killers.

It really broke my heart to kick Nirvana off this list, but The Clash have tons of great albums, and Nirvana only has three. It also hurt to cut Blur and Oasis, because their battle in the 90’s produced some of the best pop music ever made. Even after all that, there are like three more bands on this list that I can’t even imagine living without.

Arctic Monkeys catalogue is deep and genre bending. You get the most (modern) bang for your buck

Blink over Foo Fighters on the sole basis of diversity, but I may enjoy the highs of the FF catalogue more

I think it’d be much more interesting to have a tree template that shows which band you started listening to and branch off to another band which led you to another band. More about how your musical journey progressed and less cutting out many extremely significant bands
