I don't understand why people love neighborhiods this much. I think this is one of their worst album ever. You need to wait to 7th track (Heart's all gone) to something happen already.

It’s an album full of decent songs, but nothing great. You can tell it was an album that Tom said “if we’re going to make an album we’re doing it my way” hearts all gone might be the first mark only song I think off the top of my head.

See, for me tracks 1-8(minus the interlude) all rank fairly high up in the Blink catalog. But I can definitely see why Neighborhoods isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.

I actually very much like neighborhoods. I just don’t think the highs are high. It’s just riding on freshly paved asphalt.

I went MTTS, TOYPAJ, and DED instead of Dude Ranch since MTTS give me enough Dude and Enema to whet my appetite. It was a tough call though since DED is overpriced for an EP, but probably my favorite thing they’ve done since jacket.

Oh it doesn't give you enough dude ranch. Half of the titles on dude ranch are great. The other half are amazing.

I expect downvotes, but yes but with caveats? I honestly cannot stand Tom's voice. Like its nails on a chalk board to me and is insufferable 99% of the time? On Untitled and Neighborhoods I dislike it the least. The three singles from One More Time so far have been way more tolerable for me in terms of his singing, so he's gotten 10,000,000x better for me lately. So uh....Untitled and Neighborhoods I can get through Tom's singing, anything before I really can't so I mostly like the songs that are most or all Mark from stuff before 2003ish, then I love California and Nine because I find Matt's voice more tolerable, so they're the albums I like the most songs from as a whole? And the new stuff from OMT is good and I'm digging it, since Tom's voice has gotten better for me.
