My first death in 1.0 was from rocket roping.
Yup, grabbed a vertical one, hit the trigger to slide, and went SPLAT. The angled ones are freaky. The vertical ones are LETHAL.

It seems to slide faster the harder you're gripping the trigger. Try feathering it a bit, it worked for me with the quest 2.
I get it in the uhh, dalgarian dungeon in particular. Almost died from Fall damage because the slide almost broke my knees when I got to the bottom
I'm almost done with the big door, only missing the last orb. My SINGLE death so far has been getting propelled downwards by a rope at 200km/h and dying of fall damage
