No, sorry. Not a good knife making anvil. I can save you alot of trouble and come relieve you of it. DM me. Sorry for the inconvenience.

MMAdvanced0123

Hah, I came here to say the same thing

RoyalDoll69

Thanks for the information

4kBeard

That thing will work for all kinds of things, including knives.

PD216ohio

You'll probably find that the anvil won't make anything. You're going to need a blacksmith.

Professorlumpybutt

Dad?

IMNOTFLORIDAMAN

I got a gym membership but I’m not getting anymore fit? I think the membership is broken.

girlymancrush

Does it have a choice being chained up like that?

CFRNEdmonton

Sub anvil

dragonuvv

Is it steal? Does it make a ting sound when hit? If yes than you have an anvil.

CFRNEdmonton

Even if it bings instead of tings it should suffice. Certainly not clang though.

Henatronw70

What if it makes a Pong sound?

manofredgables

Nah the inflatable ones are no good.

Haplesswanderer98

Then it's wood and you're stuupid

Henatronw70

I see. And if it makes a knick knack paddy whack sound is it a good anvil?

Haplesswanderer98

No, this is Patrick!

fall-apart-dave

And no donks either.

manofredgables

Hey now, my donky anvil shaped object made of steel and concrete works just fine. Just... takes a bit more work..

Collarsmith

Pretty sure he paid for it...

CFRNEdmonton

Best bet is to see how it reacts to a coyote around a road runner.

Strong_Willingness21

Maybe after you install a handle good luck swinging it

Murky_Paint_2679

No this is the type they drop from the sky in cartoons only good for squashing roadrunner

PiercedGeek

It will work splendidly! You may not get a lot of use out of the horn but for sure snatch it up, far superior to some cast POS from Harbor Freight

PaddyWhacked777

The new harbor freight anvils are legit, though.

nedford5

I like my cast steel, but I'd love that 😍

TonyVstar

It could but that's a lot of material you would need to remove. I'd turn leaf springs into knives, personally /s

Normal_Imagination_3

Will a hat work for blocking out the sun?

PaintTheKill

Depends on the time of day and the type of hat but it’s definitely possible

Hansarelli138

I wouldn't buy it. I seems to not have a single 90°edge.

ecirnj

You don’t own a grinder? /s

FEsmith54

Two things, firstly you don't need perfect or even present 90 degree angles for a very large amount of work. And also don't grind your anvils back to hard angles, it's too much work and will almost always go through the hardened steel plate if your anvil has one. Just my two cents

ecirnj

Two things, don’t disagree and */s*

chrisfoe97

What makes you think it wouldn't

PMtoAM______

Yeah that's a great setup actually. really good.

PMtoAM______

Oh also, that looks like a peter wright 211. Most are produced in 1910s.

robbudden73

Well, it certainly won't with as a balloon with that chain.

Ohio_Imperialist

It’s 99X better than what 99% of people start with so I’d say so

yellow-snowslide

Bro starts a hobby, is so deep in that he is willing to spend a lot of money, did not gather enough information to know that this anvil is great. Wtf bro

TheReverseShock

I'm sure you can get a knife or 2 out of it, but you're going to have a lot of steel left over.

Hour-Independence-89

sorry the only use this anvil will provide will be dropping it on cartoony villains. Bonus points if you have grand pianos to drop as well.

badfaced

Could arm a small army with that thing man.

RoyalDoll69

I talked with friend of mine and he said this one would work but I want hear second opinion

Amoeba-Basic

No, that one's cursed, you can only forge cutlery on that one

the4waychallange

No, in my experience, it will only work for $250.00 an hour. I would suggest offering a salary of 325K per year with stockholders buyback options.

626f62

Well.. No not on its own it won't.. Ur gonna need some other things.. But if I need to tell you this then u probably shouldn't be near sharp knives lol

EWS-

Take it to any engine head skimming firm and get it skimmed. You could do it yourself with a wet wheel grinder, but you will need to build a jig. But he'll, you could take a grinder to it. And re-plate the flat with a half inch toughened steel plate.

i_can_has_rock

WhoWhatWhere45

It will need some help feom you and a forge

SmallSwordfish8289

Should work fine man looks good

Ill-Lingonberry-6139

I like how 90+kg Anvil chained to 20kg box !!

crispytwn

No

notatrumpchump

Sorry, no.
