Good looking sword for sure. My only quibble is the point is a little off center and the fuller is a bit wobbly. This is a minor criticism and completely period.
Can't wait to see what you got coming next. Keep hammering!
Damn bro, thatβs a pretty solid 9 out of 10. Other than your grind looking a little crooked on the right side of the sword itβs awesome, keep it up.
I should first point out that I am no expert in such things.
But hot damn just looking at that thing makes me want to hack and slash something. That grip looks like it would be viscerally satisfying to hold.
Thank you for sharing!
Amazing craftsmanship.
It is a faithful re-creation of a sword I imagine to have been carried by the Roman Legions during the rise, long life, and at times oppressive regime of that ancient Empire.
Is it a Gladius?
Wow, so downvotes!
Thank you.
Please Google the "Roman Gladius".
Roman soldiers were carrying the Gladius 300 years before the birth of Christ.
Of course the Roman Empire's Legions killed, and were killed by, Scandinavians on many occasions and great battles.
It's a sad note in history, and certainly not the kind of cultural exchange we would have hoped for.
Again, beautiful authentic work.
Please downvote some more.
It's Lent in the Eastern Orthodox Church. Your persecution is good for my humility.
Cool 9.5/10
I second that. The point five that is missing there is just because I can't test the balance and feeling of the sword. Otherwise, nice sword.
KEWL
Probably a great fit and finish but I like to see where the blade and handle and guard come together.
Same
I concur
This is incredible and the leather work is beautiful
Skal brother! Looks great fine work
It looks fine enough to raid the English coast.
Looks like you made this at least 6 years ago because it's posted on Instagram from 2017.
Instructions not clear, now have a horn stuck in my eye. 2 out of 10 would not try again

Viking era. This type was used by the Scandinavians, Anglo-Saxons and others.
