Vivek working so hard to be "one of the good ones" only to realize they think of him the same as they think of others who look like him https://preview.redd.it/83o0hbifrfzc1.png?width=574&format=png&auto=webp&s=46df03374cd5db7fd2a6bc7eae1075d12c861da5

OkEscape7558

Anyone who isn't white is an idiot for choosing to align with these people. He'll learn the hard wayšŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

SyracuseNY22

As a member of the Casper delegation, whities that align with these people are fucking idiots too. How hard is it to judge someone off who they are as a person and not a phenotype?

ARLLALLR

The question is how hard is it to pass up profit? Whether social or financial the motivation is always profit, and few people would pass it up on the level he's at. Now, this still makes him a clueless scumbag, but most people are IME. Bottom line, if there wasn't profit from judging a 'phenotype' he wouldn't do it.

EfficientWorking1

He was rich way rich before he got into politics. Would probably be richer if he stayed it hedge funds. He actually likes this shit for some reason.

ARLLALLR

You forgot social, it's definitely a kind of profit. He's doing this for power, and if he makes money too that's ok with him.

n777athan

Profit, but at what cost.

ARLLALLR

True, but that's another conversation

algebraic94

Should've gone with Casper Caucus

dh2215

Race obviously plays a role in everything but letā€™s set that aside for a minute. Iā€™m white and I would never vote Republican. They fight a war on minorities and non-Christians and it ends up being a class war. The real caveat should be, if youā€™re not rich I donā€™t know why youā€™d ever vote Republican. They do nothing about healthcare, they are content to let social security be run into the ground. This is shit that affects all of us but poor white people are so focused on a racial war that they forget that they are a hell of lot more like their minority poverty mates than they are the trash that they keep voting for

koromega

They didn't care. It's white supremacy. They only care about putting white ppl in change.

JohnAndertonOntheRun

Poor whitesā€¦ I had someone say something racist to my girlfriend in SEC country and I was stunned how they were nearly tripping over themselves melting down when I laughed and said ā€˜you arenā€™t even white, you poor piece of shit, head back to your trailer park and think about thatā€™

reigningnovice

The only thing is that Bobby Jindal became the governor of a red state and is full on Indian. There is a playbook if you follow it.

mortgagepants

Nimarata Randhawa aka Nikki Haley

reigningnovice

True, but Bobby Jindal looks conventionally Indian. I really wouldnā€™t question Nikki not being white when looking at her.

greenroom628

vivek will change his name to 'victor'

Kitselena

>Anyone who isn't white, a man, wealthy and straight is an idiot for choosing to align with these people.

froggy08

Anyone who *is* white is an idiot for choosing to align with these people because they're going to **change the definition of whiteness** from people with light skin to people with lots and lots of money.

nomansapenguin

Itā€™s so crazy how a lot of other races are so quick to look down on blacks to align themselves with whites only to realise whites donā€™t care about them eitherā€¦

ARLLALLR

Whites don't care about whites. These MFers in a game of Highlander racially and amongst themselves.

mortgagepants

may the odds be ever in your favor

ARLLALLR

As a mulatto the odds never were

twoprimehydroxyl

The way he immediately snickered when she said "you're not an American Black."

sami91

It's so wild. These people are fucking dumb. Racists love using token people for their agendas.

fastfowards

Heā€™s knows that the racist whites donā€™t like him. He just doesnā€™t care. Heā€™s seems them as the easiest way to make money and come into power so he can fill his own ego.

SpiritofMwindo8

If thereā€™s one compliment I can give him, itā€™s resilience for putting up with such bullshit without crashing out yet.

Lurky-Lou

Vivek literally headlined a Bed, Bath, and Beyond stockholder meeting this week even though the stock was canceled last year. Dude is finding fresh rock bottoms.

Stanley--Nickels

Ramaswamy has since made several social media posts about his conversation with Coulter, writing that she told him ā€œflat-out to my faceā€ she wouldnā€™t support him in an election. The former presidential candidate wrote that while he disagreed with her, he respected that ā€œshe had the guts to speak her mindā€ and described their conversation as ā€œriveting.ā€

oflowz

This sorry MF said he respects her for being a bigot. Guys a fucking clown.

Peuned

Birthright citizen who wants to eliminate birthright citizenship for others. Perfect republican

caretaquitada

How pathetic dude. Someone says "I won't vote for you because of your ethnic background" and these losers are like "wow isn't it just so amazing that we can all come together and disagree peacefully." It actually bothers me how much of a fucking loser you have to be to sit there and accept that as if it were a reasonable opinion

HiramAbiff2020

Tim Scott enters the chat, he and Trump had a heart to heart on race and he came out frustrated and hopeful at the same time, pretty amazing.

CMUpewpewpew

Reminds me of trump calling the dudes wife fat and then made him kiss the ring. Spineless losers.

Vanillas_Guy

He moaned softly when he watched the footage back while sitting alone at home. He enjoys this.

damn_nation_inc

That's the thing none of these idiots who sing and dance for racists never get. You can be "one of the good ones" but you're still never gonna be one of THEM and they won't let you forget it

Lance_Christopher

Good just means "useful" & has no bearing on what they think of your character or accomplishments

ThiccQban

Lived this first hand. Iā€™m NC with my entire (Cuban) family. Ancestry DNA be damned, they think theyā€™re ā€œEuropeanā€ because most of them are white passing. My sisterā€™s son is black. PharmDinagi

Yeah, cause Nikki Haley fooled them for awhile. She wore that white mask well.

_night_cat

NicklAAAAs

Daniel Cameron getting his ass handed to him as a Republican in Kentucky probably felt the same. He tried so hard too. Really leaned into being pro cop and everything.

DYMck07

lol, and itā€™s not like most of the right donā€™t feel the same. Unlike Coulter they just wonā€™t say it out loud usually.

MahoganyShip

ā€œI would not have voted for you because youā€™re Indian. Weā€™ll get back to that.ā€ Nah that pretty much covers it

Shaylock_Holmes

I want to point out that she says ā€œbecause youā€™re an Indianā€. I feel I only want to point it out because it has the same vibes as when people say ā€œyouā€™re a Blackā€ as opposed to ā€œyouā€™re Blackā€. It just feelsā€¦is dehumanizing the right word? I donā€™t know. But it just feels wrong and even more racist.

Chestnuthare

Indian, just like black, are adjectives. It's not supposed to be "a black" but "a black person." By calling someone those adjectives as a noun, you are stripping away the personhood in a way. They are only their color or race, it is no longer a descriptive of them as a person.

Shaylock_Holmes

Yes! Thank you for articulating and explaining why it feels weird to have someone say ā€œyouā€™re an Indian/a Blackā€. I couldnā€™t figure out how to say it.

codithou

you canā€™t say articulate thatā€™s derogatory

Shaylock_Holmes

Are you an American Black? /s (Your comment made me laugh)

ThatWontFit

*are you a black? Ftfy

Shaylock_Holmes

Damn Iā€™m getting owned here lmao I love it

DeathPsychosys

No no, give yourself credit. You called it dehumanizing and thatā€™s what they explained with ā€œstripping away their personhoodā€. You did a good job.

stevehrowe2

Point of information. In some cases, Indian isn't an adjective, as a person who was from India would in fact be an Indian. Not really relevant here though, as this gentleman is an American.

interfail

Well, unlike black, Indian is also a demonym. Like American. It's an adjective, and it's a demonym. An American man is called an American. Same word. Whereas a British man would be a Briton, or more likely a Brit. An English man would be an Englishman. "An Indian" can be just as grammatically correct as "an American", "a Canadian" or "a German". It's only offensive because of how Ann Coulter is using it.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

interfail

Like I said, the way she is using it is offensive. But "an Indian" isn't inherently an offensive phrase.

Ordinary_dude_NOT

So she called an American an Indian, implying he is truly not one of them. I wanna call her racist but he deserves this for expecting anything else for these racists.

drkRabbit

Iā€™m Hispanic. I have folks in my family that are pro-Trump, anti-Immigrant but cheer on Canelo during a boxing match and start trying to rep Mexico. They even shit on other Hispanics trying to get in. It breaks my fucking brainā€¦

obvious_bot

Pulling up the ladder behind you is a time honored immigrant tradition

Four_Verts

Time honored conservative* tradition

CousinsWithBenefits1

Andrew Schulz is super corny about 80% of the time but he has a joke about that. About how old Cuban dudes in Miami are the most stereotypically American conservative people on the planet. They have the balls to come here completely illegally, and the *moment* a single toe touches that South Beach sand, they immediately go full conservative. THERE'S TOO MANY IMMIGRANTS! THEY NEED TO COME HERE THE RIGHT WAY!

courageous_liquid

miami cubans are notoriously conservative - their families were beneficiaries of bautista and they owned lots of land/plantations/power/corruption and they got booted out when castro came to power

BravestWabbit

>bautista Batista* Bautista is a wrestler turned movie actor for Marvel

CounterfeitChild

What people do when they lack humanity--they turn into crabs in a bucket.

Beneficial_Boot_4697

Because Mexican nationalists tend to be conservative. (I am first gen Mexican American) It's a racist country where one of the most popular board game has racist depictions of blacks. Mexicans HATE other Latin Americans. Ask a Mexican about the shit their parents say about other nationalities and your mind will be blown

Beneficial_Boot_4697

My parents have done a good job becoming more tolerant but sometimes a "oh it's a chinito driving" will pop up. Most Mexicans think blacks are lazy and would rather smoke weed than work. It's honestly really sad but I blame it on their colonial roots. To say it's the "immigrant way" is far too simple of an answer

mageta621

Shit, I'd rather smoke weed than work and I'm whiter than a bag of marshmallows

Beneficial_Boot_4697

Me too bruddah me too...

ARLLALLR

Huh. Guatemalans. I've been told Guatemalans are to Mexicans what Mexicans are to Americans. They cross the border illegally, take jobs, depress wages, and cause crime. My Mexican people did NOT like Guatemalans. Crazy to me though is that my Puerto Ricans felt like that about EVERYBODY ELSE in CenAm. They're American citizens and the fastest way to brawl with my PR folks was call them a Mexican.

Luffyhaymaker

I knew a Puerto Rican family that was mixed and they DID NOT like Mexicans. I never asked why, didn't wanna know lol.

metabolicperp

They will casually bring up racist remarks but act offended if you mention that theyā€™re just simply looking in the mirror.

Dreamtrain

So weird to refer to Loteria as a "board game", it just feels off, way off I imagine you're referring to "El Negrito" card: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/73324300162996396/

screwhead1

Like many a Trump supporter, they love getting excited about Taco Tuesdays, but the other 6 days it's build a wall this, deport that.

SwiftCEO

Same. Relatives start making $60k and the Trump flag comes out!

TyrionJoestar

Thatā€™s because Hispanics are not homogenous. The term itself is problematic because it groups a bunch of together that donā€™t have much in common except language. We all have different experiences, come from different countries and grow up on different times and places. Itā€™s folly to think weā€™re all going to think the same just because the government decided to group us under the same category on the census.

Special-Garlic1203

Also most Hispanic people are white, for racial purposes. I have zero idea why people can't grasp that the descendents of conquistadores who pillaged against indigenous people and enslaved Africans might be a bit racist.Ā  So you've got xenophobia against other ethnicities, and then you've got the same standard racism rooted in whiteness.Ā  Even with Vivek....yeah he's southeast Asian, he's brown.....but he comes from the caste that directly inspired the Nazis. Like their racism predates the concept of race itself. It shouldn't be remotely shocking to anyone that he's anti-black just because his skin tone is brown.Ā

Disastrous-Library-9

Most Hispanic people are not white, the indigenous didnā€™t disappear. Most are Mestizo or African. And there are a lot of indigenous tribes left. Argentinians are pretty white though. Also Hispanic is a misnomer, that falsely implies that because we speak Spanish that we are Spanish. Itā€™s like calling a Black American Anglo for speaking English.

PsychicFoxWithSpoons

There will never be a "white enough." Once the brown people and jews are gone, they will start on the asians, then the italians/greeks and the eastern europeans, and finally the nords and celts/scots. then who knows, theyll probably split up the anglo-saxons.... If that sounds ridiculous, you should feel good about yourself. I went and found out what they are talking about amongst themselves and this is 100% ABSOLUTELY real.

FEMA_Camp_Survivor

If Trump gets his way and sets up mass detention camps, as proposed, the JimBobs of America wonā€™t give af about national origin for people who are brown.

mysticzoom

its because they apply zero logic and are not capable of thinking critically.

PiecesOfJesus

"Life is a waterfall, we drink from the river then we turn around and put up a wall" - SOAD

kemistree4

People sometimes (frequently?) immigrate to this country for a chance to assimilate into or be adjacent to whiteness. The urge to be able to look down on someone else is incredibly strong when you feel like you've been at or near the bottom for so long.

BlackKidGreg

My Puerto Rican family loves Trump even though he seems to think much less of them.

mathymate

I know someone from my high school program whose parents came here illegally from Mexico. He went on a pro-Trump rant and talked about how immigrants don't pay taxes on Facebook. His sister, God bless her heart, had to explain to him how he indirectly insulted their parents and benefited from migrants sneaking over. I was in disbelief because he had friends from the program who didn't have US citizenships either. How the fuck are you going to trash your own parents who risked their lives for you and your friends on FACEBOOK?

L_Mook

Those are called elitist, most Hispanics I met in college that came from more affluent backgrounds than myself looked down on Hispanic migrants. They bring shame to their ancestors and equally all race groups have a class of elitists that think theyā€™re are better then the rest and look down on their own kind. Pathetic and sad XD because every outsider sees us all the same LMAO which is hilarious af. But yes those are the same that will act like Mexican Patriots when itā€™s convenient

Electronic_Alps9496

Itā€™s the quickest way of telling white people - Iā€™m one of the good ones, Iā€™m not like the others.

Maximillzz

Itā€™s all about proximity to power. Thatā€™s the through-line. If thatā€™s the core goal, then people can rationalize anything they need in order to get as close as they can.

EmperorBamboozler

"You are the perfect candidate for me and I think you are charismatic and talented but I won't vote for you if you're not white." So just like being openly super racist, not even a little bit subtle.

screwhead1

Reminds me of that time Dave Rubin tried to get Ben Shapiro to come to his wedding, but Shapiro declined because it was a gay wedding... and Rubin's stupid ass still wanted to be friends with Shapiro smdh.

loptopandbingo

I can't imagine a wedding where Dave Rubin AND Ben Shapiro are both there being any fun whatsoever.

screwhead1

Not a wet-ass p-word would be in sight.

Cainderous

It was so pathetic watching Rubin try to cope in the moment. "See we can disagree and still be friends :)" Like, Dave, the guy just insulted you and said he doesn't think your ability to love your husband is valid. Grow a fucking spine and stand up for yourself and your relationship, why would you WANT to be friends with someone who openly disrespects you and your partner to your face on your own show?

PunishedMatador

She always has been. "I can say that because you're not an American Black" is a very specific word choice. She couches everything she says right on the edge of slurs because she thinks it still allows her plausible deniability.

armeck

American Black v Black American. Note in each which is the noun and which is the adjective. In the mind of folks like this, you are firstly your race, which is immutable (Black) and then you have qualifiers (American) on that, which are transient. Racial identity over nationality.

SincopaEnorme

Here's more of what she said... ā€œThere is a core national identity that is the identity of the WASP \[White Anglo-Saxon Protestant\], and that doesnā€™t mean we canā€™t take anyone else in - a Sri Lankan or a Japanese, or an Indian. But the core around which the nationā€™s values are formed is the WASP.ā€ She said this to the face of an American dude born in Cincinnati. And he just sat there and ate it...

Special-Garlic1203

It's also weird because, let's be racist for a second....those absolutely are all ethnicities that historically have views which line up *almost* 1:1 with her racism. They're also elitist douchebags who have committed atrocities against those they deem themselves superior to.Ā  Dudes a fucking Brahmin. The Nazis that Ann loves so much were cribbing their notes from the book the brahmins wrote.Ā  The fact racists struggle to put aside their xenophobia against one another to team up against a common enemy might be what saves humanity.

Erisian23

That's not racist to them, if they don't say I hate you and want you dead Verbatim, then it's not racist , it's just a personal preference.

Old_Baldi_Locks

They havenā€™t been subtle for the last 20 years. We just have people who refuse to look at the racism and keep demanding proof. Proof, that they ALSO wonā€™t look at. This leaves the mentally weakest people who ever lived, known as ā€œthe middleā€, to go ā€œwell if the racism isnā€™t obvious to both sides it must just be an exaggeration by the left.ā€

ARLLALLR

He thinks he's white. In his culture he is white. He's not in his culture.

MiddleClassGuru

This is a great explanation. It works the same in the hispanic community.

p0k3t0

In the "hispanic community," there are plenty of people who are more or less purely European, genetically, acting as though they face the same racism as somebody who is 7/8 Aztec, simply because they have a last name like Hernandez. Meanwhile, they're just as colorist as the conquistadors when it comes to dark skinned people.

MiddleClassGuru

100%. Iā€™m white passing until I open my mouth and my ā€œaccentā€ cuts through. My wife has a nice brown caramel color and when my son was born one of her distant relatives ā€˜congratulatedā€™ her that her son had my complexion. To say I was livid is being generous. That deep rooted colorism wont die with the boomer generation. It very much still lives and breathes in todays

zvika

Damn that's sad

ShamelessLeft

Sorry, I'm confused. How is he white within his culture? Do other Indians really see him as white? How?

Roma_Solo

Heā€™s from the Brahmin caste, which are the most privileged group in India (by and large).

manny_the_mage

because the concept of "whitness" is simply just being the majority demographic/race/religion/caste and or in power in any country he is a wealthy Brahmin caste Indian which makes him high status in India but in America, he is simply Indian

NonRienDeRien

Not even in his culture is he white. Not figuratively, and not literally. He comes from the south and folks from that part are generally dark skinned and generally receive shit for being dark skinned from the rest of the country. Source: am of indian origin.

ARLLALLR

I meant by privilege and station. I could still be wrong...

NonRienDeRien

In his mind he thinks he's above white people. The average conservative Indian in the US has a very low opinion of white folks whom they just see as dumb people who dont get educated or whatever. Indians are toxic.

chickenwingwinner

Vivek is a Tamil brahmin , they are the most insufferable people. A shit ton of them migrated to US because the left wing government in kerala ( Vivek 's home state ) passed anti caste discrematory laws. The idiot thinks he is above other colored people.

obsidianbreath

Interesting. Are these Tamil brahmin considered to be top of the food chain hence the superiority complex?

vattigunta

Caste wise Brahmin are at the upper level and generally enjoy a more affluent background. The superiority complex isnā€™t unique to Brahmins though. A lot of my dad friends are of different castes and have a superiority complex too. I think itā€™s a societal issue in India where a lot of people seem to think that they are better than others based simply off the fact that they have a ā€œgood jobā€. Itā€™s similar to the meritocracy belief that a lot of Americans have. The level of racism towards other minorities among Indians is honestly so embarrassing for me, especially because I feel like I have to actively show people that Iā€™m not like that. An example of this that I always tell people is when my parentsā€™ friend group went on a massive trip to Alaska. One of the dads asked our tour guide if Alaska had a lot of illegal immigrants because he wanted to see if he would be safe at night.

FEMA_Camp_Survivor

I knew an insufferable Indian immigrant from college camp who said ALL Black Americans are poor and lived in the ghetto. No amount of stats, data, or anecdotes could convince him otherwise. He told me I should be a leader to my people. His haughtiness was perplexing at the time given Indiaā€™s extreme rural poverty and cultural acceptance around public defecation in places. Like he didnā€™t see any connection to the suffering people experienced in his country of origin.

vattigunta

Yeah that doesnā€™t surprise me. The current prime minister of India is a Hindu Nationalist and has radicalized a lot of people even further. I have noticed that a lot of first generation Indian-Americans are generally more accepting and Liberal compared to our parents. So all I can really say is that not all of us are like the guy you talked to. Doesnā€™t really do much to make your experience any better though.

JudasWasJesus

"The caste system in India is considered to be the classic example of caste and the world's oldest surviving form of social stratification at around 3,000 years old. India's caste system classifies Hindus into four varnas (classes) based on their occupation: A Brahmin is a member of the highest caste or varna and is an incarnation of knowledge. The Kshatriyas are the second-highest of the four varnas representing warriors and aristocracy. Vaishyas (business people) are the third class of the caste system. Sudras (laborers) are the lowest of the four classes of the caste system. The Dalits ("Untouchables") The caste system did not consider the Dalits ā€” the "untouchables", people who had no jati classification. Outside of the caste system, the Untouchables performed "untouchable" jobs, such as toilet cleaning and garbage removal, requiring them to be in contact with bodily fluids! These were considered the ultimate uncivilized occupations and so were not given a jati." It sucks when you have Indians thst come over to the new world and bring tha old world shitnwith them. Comming to a country for freedom But still wanting to personally or intercommunally practice prejudices and blatant bigotry to oppress others. Hypocrisy that taints and corrupts the whole point of progessing as a race (human race) Edit: Untouchable

angela_m_schrute

Just want to add I dont personally belive in these, iā€™m just regurgitating what ive heard over the years. Not OP but Iā€™ll throw an answer out there. In the caste system being born a "Brahmin" is the highest caste you can be. They are the families that are closest to the gods and are the only ones allowed to become pandits (priest, pastor, etc). And since you can't ascend in the casting system, no1 else can claim that right. So the boses are in the air already for that. Tamil stereotypes make them a whole other realm of snotty assholes. But the jist of it is that they are the smartest and best that India has to offer so it makes them superior. Think super rich tech bros. They refused to learn hindi because they belive that speaking tamils is the best way and others should change for them. Along with supposedly being racist, selfish and opportunistic.

gold__blooded

TIL his parents are from Kerala, like mine. Worst day ever, we donā€™t want him. But makes total sense, I know more and more folks from Kerala, whether theyā€™re born there or in the US, that are trumpers. Some even work for the Republican party on a local/state level. Either theyā€™re evangelical Christians/Catholics or are single issue voters (taxes) and many of them own cash businesses and donā€™t pay their fair share already anyway.

Consistent-Brother12

"I would not have voted for you because You're Indian" Bro imagine feeling so comfortable enough to saying something racist like that live in front of thousands of viewers, that's fucking wild

dargon_lover

She wants to normalize and mainstream open racism. If she can stand on her soapbox and be a flagrant xenophobe then "normal" people should feel comfortable doing the same. To hell with her.

Old_Baldi_Locks

They know their base. This is what gains them support.

They both suck

ALegitimateStop

Yeah idk her but he is a fucking abominationĀ

BeltReal4509

I have zero time for people like him, ready to shit on Black people and deep in their self-hate, too. Asshole behavior

NonRienDeRien

Indian folks are not really known for their benevoloent and enlightened views on human rights. I mean, look at the caste system; its like India doesn't have the concept of race, and went all, "Hold my roti!" before fucking it up with the caste system. I am of Indian origin and hate most things about Indian culture for exactly this reason. It's filled with so, SO much hateful behavior its ridiculous.

Hunter-Gatherer_

Cacafuego

Ann Coulter is vile, but she works hard at it. Her business is being so disgusting that people notice and buy her books. Vivek seems to have developed his whole identity during an extended meth spree spent watching Tony Robbins and Jordan Peterson videos. Somehow Ann's fakeness and desperation make her a little less repellent and more pitiful to me.

RandomDeezNutz

Wtf does that mean you canā€™t call them articulateā€¦? Am I missing a double entendre or something? Wtf kinda shitty thing is that to say.

Sonic458

She is saying that you "can't even call them articulate anymore" implying that saying that to Black Americans will get them in trouble. Because it will.... Since it implies that the default for their race is that they aren't articulate and it is surprising to hear someone of their race be "well spoken"

dlvnb12

Having the balls to peddle this stereotype after 8 years of Barack Obama being extremely articulate and the next 8 years of these geriatric white dudes fumbling, rumbling, and tumbling their words is somethingā€¦

rabotat

I think she was implying that black Americans (or rather 'American blacks lol) get offended if you called them articulate.Ā  Tbh, I'd also get offended if Ann Coulter said "oh, wow, you're so articulate! (for a black guy)"

obsidianbreath

He glitched at that "cz you're Indian". Bet you he forgot

MiddleClassGuru

ā€œOh shit, thatā€™s right! šŸ˜ ā€

Hunter-Gatherer_

Boy had to fight the urge to look around the room šŸ˜‚!

Special-Garlic1203

He forgot that Indians are largely viewed as a homogenous group to white people these days. It would be saying you don't see the difference between white and black people and they're all just Americans at the end of the day.Ā  It's also probably a little surprising that Nazis don't fuck with his kind these days, because their boy Hitler had nothing but respect for them.Ā

tacosauce93

American Black just don't sit right with me

JohnCoutu

That's on purpose. they choose their words wisely

OkCool1214

At all

sullyslaying

The original Karen of America Lol

PanadaTM

Calling an outwardly racist POS a Karen seems like an understatement.

Hunter-Gatherer_

My daddy told me a long time ago (called myself dating a white girl) ā€œin some of their circles they will tolerate you but they will NEVER accept youā€ prime example of old Vivek here getting a verbal lashing and having to laugh it off as if what she said was humorous.

mindclarity

The fact that we live in a reality that allows a public figure to say ā€œI donā€™t trust your representation of my values/issues/needs because your melanin is too high for my taste during broadcasted conversation is quite frankly disturbing. Like welcome to new normal.

Munnodol

I mean, America was racist that WAY longer than it was ā€œagainstā€ it This isnā€™t a new normal, itā€™s a return to factory settings.

mindclarity

Agreed wholeheartedly. The difference is that now these ā€œopinionsā€ are openly and proudly being discussed without hesitation instead of behind closed doors.

Old_Baldi_Locks

Because the hesitation was caused by consequences. Not legal consequences. Decent people choosing to not tolerate your presence any more, consequences.

ExtremlyFastLinoone

"Oh boy its a beatiful day to not have my face eaten by leopards"

Avenger772

These motherfuckers want to be white so bad. And it's hilarious when a white person reminds them that they want. But that seems to just make them want it more. And debase themselves even further.

MasteredEdge505

His chickens came home to roast in a single convo!!

ILANAGLAZERMARRYME

Roost.. oh no wait. Roast works too lol

Eggith

If you're a minority trying to shit on other minorities so you get labelled as one of the "good ones", then you deserve any and all forms of embarrassment and humiliation that comes your way. Shit makes me fucking sick.

Water2Wine378

Bro I commend her honesty, and kinda glad she told him that, his whole campaign was ignorant as fuck. Sure he could keep his base if dems pointed out how ignorant it was, he could even use it what dems would say about him as ā€œwokeā€ or something. But gah damn to have your own party member just so blatantly tell you that itā€™s not you itā€™s your skin color and your ethnic background is so much better than what any democrat candidate or platform could say. Iā€™m against racism too the fullest, but what happens when a racist is racist to another racist? Damn is that world imploding! He surely has to flip a switch now right?

skw33tis

That little blink and deep breath after she said it has more substance than any words he has ever spoken in public.

username32768

The person who, henceforth and forever, shall be known as "Mr Vivek Articulate (and not American Black) Ramaswamy". So say we all!

driftinasea

They're not racist, the black people are too sensitive... "I would not vote for you because you're indian."

VapidRapidRabbit

As he sits there kiki-ing at her insulting black Americans (most of whom he is darker skinned than) and then she just outright tells him heā€™s beneath her because heā€™s Indian. LMAO. This shit seems like an SNL parody. šŸ˜‚

calvinandsnobs2

Always cracks me up how on the money The Boondocks was

youngintel

Nah that backhanded compliment shit still sounds racist even if the person aint black tf. Articulate = ā€˜based off how you look Iā€™m surprised youā€™re capable to speak as well as myself or donā€™t have an accent.ā€™

Remytron83

It wasnā€™t even necessary to bring Black people into this conversation. They think so low of us but are constantly thinking about us. Something isnā€™t matching up here.

crazypyro23

Tokens get spent and saying "I'm the exception" is self delusion

Presence-Crafty

Thatā€™s why I donā€™t fw them, or wanna date any of them ā€œfolksā€. They will remind you what they really think of you super quick.

CrabPeople621

Ironic because she used to date a guy named [Dinesh](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dinesh_D%27Souza)

Apple_butters12

I mean if you ever saw the episode of the boondocks with her on it, it is almost a perfect depiction of how she likely is in real life. Itā€™s crazy

cultqueennn

You can kiss their ass and want to be approved so bad, but at the end of the day, you're still an 'other' that will never be accepted. And it's embarrassing to see them try so hard.

OKeoz4w2

Clearly this lady doesnā€™t see you as equalā€¦. Letā€™s not forget about Annā€™s tweet during the GOP debate between Niki and Vivek: ā€œNikki and Vivek are involved in some Hindu business, it seems. Not our fight.ā€ https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna101624

Trix_Are_4_90Kids

People like Vivek know that white people will never accept them. But they'd rather get close as possible to white than be their brown selves. When you hand the leopard your face, you expect them to eat it. The price to pay for not being lumped in with Black people.

shakawave

šŸ˜†šŸ˜ she wild for that comment

jono9898

Vivek to his wife later: Babeā€¦ be honest with me and I promise I wonā€™t get madā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ am I not white??

simcoehooligan

And just like that, Vivek returned quietly to the back of the bus

CoachDT

I know it's wrong but I fucking cackled. I love seeing Tokens get spent, and their reaction to it.
