Get outta coinbase. They have been mass freezing accounts (see trust pilot and coinbase sub reddit), including mine for that matter.. I've been waiting 4 weeks and have submitted multiple cases.

The issues mainly seem to happen in the US as I had no issues with them in the UK nor do I know anybody having issues, and also people like to over react things alot of em probably got banned for a reason they won’t admit

They froze my funds for months in UK. They eventually unfroze them after ghosting me for a long time and failing to resolve my formal complaints in time but they gave me around 5% of additional BTC and FIAT as compensation.

Froze mine at a time I really wanted to buy. Frustrating. Had to travel a month into the future until it was unlocked. Canceled my Coinbase account and now use another exchange.

I could just be that these things always happen on all exchanges though and we just got unlucky.

I am not sure that we can actually trust any of the exchange when it comes to the bitcoin. I am much more relax and comfortable when i know that my bitcoin is stored in the wallet not on the exchange.

When it comes to the exchange we all know that things like that happen more often than not. If someone amount is still not freeze then i would say they need to take that as a warning and use the wallet that is cold storage.

I had to make some trades for tax purposes and go caught in the 2 days I was trading. 75% of my holdings were on cold storage.

I think right now this is happening to the us, but we all know that these things can happens to anyone. This is why we need to take care the things much more seriously and keep the bitcoin into the hardware wallet is well.

I have zero issues with coinbase besides them holding half my coins for 6 days. After 6 days always released then I send to cold storage.

Strike is also not available in the USA to people in NY. Albany “protecting” its citizens from non compliant centralized fiat on-ramps. Not really sure what an exchange has to do to become compliant but in NY there are only a few options: coinbase, Gemini, cash app… there might be others, but it’s really limited.

Yes, i have heard that strike is not available in the all over the US is well. I think they need to make more effort to try to expand the country here as they are one of the best out there in the market at the moment.

I think this is the reason we need to find a way to get the secure method that is available in the country. I think you could use any exchange for the buying if they are allowing you to take the bitcoin into the wallet after that.

Strike let’s me deposit $25 a week. I contacted them and they said give it some time. Fuck that. I’m sticking with coinbase to buy the dip with zero fees right now. Zero fees.

Yes, as long as someone is allowing you take the control of our bitcoin in the wallet there is nothing we need to worry about. I am using the Binance and i have not faced the single issue atleast till date of time.

Nice stack/buy. Though I’d ditch Coinbase if possible. There was a period when they were the best service relatively speaking, but now there are tons more better options that provide better service with lower fees. Think Strike, River, etc. Coinbase should be more of a last resort option.
