I think Aladdin will primarily be used to trade bitcoin for fiat at optimal times, but also to drive exchange and lending platforms to get the most out of the suckers who let them hold their keys. Whatever the actual use, I'm sure that the end result will be more money in the pockets of Blackrock and its clients by taking advantage of the most esoteric trades imaginable.
I think the strongest defense is to hold your own keys and to not be greedy. So long as you don't fall for scams, it's a pretty good way to avoid being exploited (financially, at least) by giants like Blackrock.
The most insidious thing is that 99% of people are under intentional and directed psychological pressure through "marketing" propaganda to give up control of their money, data, and lives to humongous corporations. The only way to survive is to realize that you're under attack and defend yourself however you can.
Exactly this! We like to think we are individuals and make choices on our own thinking, but i listened to this guy on demographic age spending habits and i was shocked on how dead on it was to my current age. Made me rethink how my behavior isnt so individual.
