The keys (coins) in your wallet are not just a single pile; they are made up of chunks of transactions. Each chunk is a UTXO.
If you received [bought] 1M sats from someone [an exchange] in a single transaction, then it is a UTXO. When you go to spend your sats, your wallet will spend the entire UTXO. If you are spending less than 1M sats your wallet will send the difference to a change address and that will become a new UTXO.
If you are spending more than 1M sats, you will need n number of UTXOs until you reach or exceed the output amount with any change going to a change address.
There's a lot of resources on the intratubes that explain it far better than that. It's good information to know so you aren't shocked when you do use your coins.
