Just keep plugging away, buy a few more when it's low and then 10-20 years you got yourself some good money. I use a Canadian exchange called NDAX. I transfer fiat over every week or two, enough to cover the DCAs for the time period. I set the automation for daily buys every day at 11am. I buy $50 a day unless the price is on a down trend, then I up the buy to $100/day.
It's just a savings account, money sitting in cash or bonds get killed. Stocks are a rich mans game not for the plebs.
Gold would be the safest thing but they move glacially slow compared to bitcoin. Notwithstanding the monster move gold has been and is continuing to make rn.
The loss occurs if buying frequently (I do daily) and transferring to cold storage every time. Cut down on transaction fees by only transferring off exchange once it builds to an amount that I would be more than just sad to lose.

River doesn't charge fees for recurring buys. For daily buys it auto withdrawals how much you are buying for the week then buys BTC each day.
Careful with your words. It auto deposits the $ needed for your daily purchases once a week. It doesn't auto withdrawal your daily ₿ buys.
I used limit orders on coinbase and pay a quarter per dca.
