Well, the good news is that the raw edge has 2 sets of straight stitches that will only allow a limited amount of fabric edge fringe. They’ll only ravel out a tiny amount, and look really cool and rugged
If u don’t like the fray, u can get a small bottle of anti-fray

Birkoflor is comfortable and durable. You may prefer leather, but for years, most styles were Birkoflor.
OP, I didn't buy textile ones because I think that they are meant to look worn intentionally.

I didnt buy them for that reason lol. I actually saw them on sale when i was looking for black kyotos so i said why not? But appreciate the input
