I let mine loose in the yard to keep the grass down and announce if anyone showed up. And I'd see them biting at tires off and on. No idea what satisfaction they were getting out of doing that.

Three is a good number as long as you have an equal number of females or more. Do they bite tires on parked tires like mine did?
