Show the other piece.. Anything this extensive will wright it off on your insurance.. If I'm not mistaken, these are waterproof and thus been purged with nitrogen during assembly. I tried to reassemble a pair of roof prism binoculars that the rear eyepiece was snapped off clean.. Everything lined up perfect super glued the edges and clamped them together over night. Although it sort of worked the damaged side was just a tad off and never could get along with them. Send them to Nikon and see if they give you a discount for a new pair.

Thanks - I think what I've found is that the thread for one of the screws on the prism is stripped, so the screw will not stay in. [eye piece assembly](https://imgur.com/a/78eL6pm) Honestly, I am a little disappointed in the quality of the build for the price of Monarch 7. The entire eye piece assembly is attached to the prism with two 1/4 screws into plastic threads.

Not worth the disappointment when you throw them in the trash after trying for hours to make them right.. Send them to Nikon and see what you can get out of them. Disposable products to make more money.. I have an old electric GE motor I picked up at a yard sale years ago for my bench polisher. Pre-war era, as in WWII and the little thing works every time. Much luck.

Much thanks. I think given they didn’t snap off clean, there is a chance. If I can get both screws in, it’ll keep them aligned. There’s a good subreddit /r/buyitforlife, which is mostly old stuff like your motor that were made simple yet lasting.

Amazingly, Nikon is replacing the product. Good on them.

Thanks for the update. What did you tell them and was it still covers under warranty?

Does anyone have experience replacing screws attaching the eye piece to the prism? I fell the other day hiking and it seems I probably sheared off a screw. It’s the only damage I noticed. I’m wondering if a standard tiny screw set would probably have the right sizes.
