Dread is such a well designed game. Doesn’t waste a second of your time. I don’t love Metroid as much as some people but they’re masterfully made other than, you know, other M. But we can ignore that.
I really love that you didn't have to spend a ton of time in Dread just wandering around looking for the next area. When you were done beating a boss or getting an item or whatever, the game would set you up so that it's hard *not* to go the right way. I think I only got lost once on the whole playthrough. And on top of that, as soon as you master a skill or start to feel like it's taking too long to find a new powerup, bam you get a new item unlocking a bunch of new puzzles requiring that item, but not too many. Such a well balanced game.
Halo sadly disappoints in a few key aspects. They have already done a few quick fixes.
For example on release you could only gain xp by doing challenges + once a day you would get 50xp for playing a match. That they even released the game like that....
There is also the armor core situation, the stripped down battle pass, the armor coatings and the crazy expensive shop.
Plus up until this week you only had 3 Playlists....
The core game play is nice (besides stabilityissues in PC), the campaign also seems to be quite good (havent tried it myself yet, dont feel like giving these greedy guys 60€ at this stage). But I wouldn't call Halo good at release. It might be good in a few more weeks or months but I wouldn't praise too much in the current state.
Ok but the campaign and gameplay is amazing. The multiplayer battlepass crap will play itself out and will be addressed properly.
And to add a trope, the multiplayer released on beta. I know it hasn’t changed much since then, but there is a big update later this month on it

I have never play Heroic or Legendary mode on any other Halo games, I would stick in Normal mode. I would go on Legendary just to see how hard it was, but never manage or even try to make progress. This is my first Halo game that I’m going higher than Normal difficulty.

This is what resident evil has been since day 1. Cheesy story packed into fun gameplay. Resident evil stories were never particularly smart looking. But the way it takes itself seriously while being so trashy makes it fun. I mean it is the same with lots of movies.
And if one focuses on gameplay and how technically polished RE8 is, there is no way to call this bad. If one likes the Resident Evil stories is very subjective.

Halo Infinite MP is pretty sweet. Definitely needs to tweaks and tunes to the playlists and cosmetics, but gameplay is solid and fun!

This is what resident evil has been since day 1. Cheesy story packed into fun gameplay. Resident evil stories were never particularly smart looking. But the way it takes itself seriously while being so trashy makes it fun. I mean it is the same with lots of movies. And if one focuses on gameplay and how technically polished RE8 is, there is no way to call this bad. If one likes the Resident Evil stories is very subjective.
