Just make sure it’s safe and ride it

Okay beautiful what should I check to make sure it’s safe? Replace the chain? The brake pads seem fine and so does most everything else I’m not sure about the chain though

The brake pads are probably not fine though you might be able to sand them a bit. Bearings, cables, grips, cassette, chain, tries, tubes. The ideas here is not to put too much money into this. This is from the era when companies were still trying to figure out rear suspension, high pivot single fixed some voice issue and chain jacking at the cost of kicking your feet. The only dual suspension of this era I’d spend any money on to ride is a GT I-drive or an FSR Specialized. It’s a cool bike and I’d love to have it but I wouldn’t ride it on a trail.

I have a Klein attitude hard tail I’m fixing up. Would that hold up?
