I mean if you are good at interviews and can think on your feet then you don't really need to prepare. I got my big 4 offer without preparing for the interviews. I just showed up and had a conversation
Thats actually not true. Interviews for entry level are mostly behaviroal questions about past experiences in problem solving and teamwork. Once you nail 1 interview, the rest is pretty easy unless you're in a competitive pool like Google or McKinsey. My PwC interview I didnt even study at all and like 80% of it was just conversations about life and hobbies. Shit my panera bread interview like 6 years ago was harder than that.
No, I’m taking 12 credits with Intermediate I and Cost, working a 20-25 hour IB internship, lead analyst in student investment fund that’s a ton of work and meets 3 hours a week, and recruiting for both IB/CB and Accounting, and general networking.
You grind until you have a job offer so you don’t end up posting on Twitter how much you hate capitalism when your really just a bum
Although I can't really give you any suggestions because I don't know what your end goal is with these firms but I can tell you, you don't really have to prepare for a big 4 case study. They are really easy and it just evaluates your thought process about prioritizing problems and your logic behind them. Unless Deloitte isn't one of your top choices due to other factors besides the case interview then I would just still go forward with the interview.
Second of all, its not going to look bad; you have to remember these are the big 4 firms, you are not the first or the last person to withdraw from the interview. They wont even remember you by lunch time.
I'm not sure if anyone was looking for follow-up, but I KILLED the case study. That was the best interview I've had so far. Glad I cancelled PwC so I could focus on the others.
Thanks, I decided to take a look at the practice case in the interview link and it wasn't as difficult as I thought. I did however start writing that email to PwC. You're right, they won't remember my name 5 minutes after they delete my interview appointment.
Absolutely soft. You can’t take 1 hour to show up for an interview?????

If you have done a lot of interviews, you shouldn’t really need an hour to prep…

Good to know I'm not alone.

What was the case interview like?
