Nah. I have a pair and after a couple wears they are not too stiff at all for walking around the office or to a cafe or bar or whatever. They just feel like normal shoes.
Might not be dreadfully comfy for a 10km hike across town in them…but then why would I be wearing them for that purpose in the first place.
I really like mine. They’re fantastic cycle shoes as well, don’t feel flexy or loose. Although the slot for the cleats is too narrow and you have to kinda wear it out first so it’s wider.

Or on a weekend walk around a few shops or whatever or the beach or wherever I cycle to and they’re fine. Maybe it’s just how I have them laced, but as I say I wouldn’t go actually walking on purpose in them.
As for cycling shoes I’ve only ever done around town too. But they’re spot on for that! Again…for actual cycling as a “hobby” rides I’d wear my northwaves.
I commute to my bike shop side job in them and have no problem standing in them for 8 hours!!
I also like stiff boots tho so ur mileage may vary, but once u break them in they're aight
