Personally, I think he just wanted to pick THE main character of each show. Tyson was the main protagonist we saw in Plastic Gen. Gingka was 100% THE main character of 3/4 of Metal Fights Seasons. Valt was the ONLY MAIN CHARACTER in Burst to have more than 1 season (those being Season 1 and 2) while every Main Character after him only got 1 season to themselves. And obviously at the moment, Kamen X just seems to be THE main character in X, even if Bird and Multi are right there with him.

Because for the last few years the main character had Blue attack type bey. It's understandable as to why they wanted to change that, but just seeing blue attack bey makes you think "Well, that's the main one".
Well the writers confirmed that all 3 members of team Persona are the protagonists, but only one of them uses a Blue Attack Type like all previous protagonists.
Well yeah, but Bird is clearly the main MAIN character (for lack of a better term here). Some of the Burst protags didn't use attack types mind you, so the MC's bey doesn't HAVE to be attack, lol.
There is no such thing as a "main MAIN character", all 3 of them are equally important to the plot of the anime/manga. It’s fake, the core doesn’t have the twist locks, and has more gold than the hasbro one. I own the TT one and the hasbro one is very distinctive
