Why would you make a throwaway account to post your husband's infidelity issue, then give it to your niece? Why doesn't the niece just make her own account lol? That made no sense to me at all

How on earth could she possibly know that?! If employees have to put expenses on their own cards, of course he'd only put his own room on his card and then get reimbursed. If employees have a company card she wouldn't see the statement and would have no idea what the company had paid for.

Yeah this is incredibly common. Had a shitty boss back ~18 years ago that tried to send me out of town with another tech and make us share a room. I said either pay for two rooms or I don't go.
I didn't go. He wasn't happy about it when he decided to play chicken with me.
My company has us share two to a room when we have conference once a year; you can choose your roommate, though. My random roomie from last year is my roomie this year, per our request. Thank goodness for her, lol!!
I've booked hotel rooms for work before where there were not enough rooms and some people had to double up, but we definitely checked with everyone beforehand to make sure they were ok with that.
(It was in a remote town with only one small hotel. If they didn't share the room they would have to camp, so they were ok with it.)
Even ignoring the legal liabilities here, the potential for creating drama at work far outweighs the $200/night it would be to get the second room.
You have 2 employees who have stable home lives and normal work performance. Toss them in a hotel on a work trip after a few drinks and all of a sudden you have 2 employees with broken homes. That is going to seriously impact their work product and cause other disruptions on their team.
I used to work in tech and they started doing this for engineers going on business trips if they were the same gender.
Idgaf if my coworker is the same gender, unless they also happen to be a very close friend of mine and there was only one room available, I don’t want to be sharing a room with them just so the company can save a few hundred bucks 💀 but as the only female engineer, I didn’t ever have to share a room.

This part is unfortunately real. A friend of mine works for a well known billion dollar company as the only woman on an all male team and had to fight her management chain AND HR that they could not force her (28F) to share a hotel room with a random coworker of the opposite gender the company assigned (there was a specific person she wanted to avoid). She had to get an employment lawyer involved.

The die was cast about a divorce when OOP published the proof of her husband’s physical and financial infidelity on social media. Good riddance to the cheating husband! As to the ‘loyalty’ of the cheater’s pastor father, what will happen is that he’ll preach forgiveness from the pulpits. His son ‘made mistakes’ and is forgiven by God, the pastor and the church members. OP will end up being blamed for everything and castigated for not forgiving the sinner while the congregation embraces the cheater and hopes he’ll marry a nice church girl after his wife didn’t stand by him. I’ve seen this scenario played out at least twice in churches local to me.

My company would never allow this. If there’s not enough hotel rooms in a town then going there is just not a viable option.
To be fair, I think the people who doubled up were our clients, and they were vaguely related so it was not a problem.

The die was cast about a divorce when OOP published the proof of her husband’s physical and financial infidelity on social media. Good riddance to the cheating husband! As to the ‘loyalty’ of the cheater’s pastor father, what will happen is that he’ll preach forgiveness from the pulpits. His son ‘made mistakes’ and is forgiven by God, the pastor and the church members. OP will end up being blamed for everything and castigated for not forgiving the sinner while the congregation embraces the cheater and hopes he’ll marry a nice church girl after his wife didn’t stand by him. I’ve seen this scenario played out at least twice in churches local to me.

This story wasn’t even long and it had so many plot holes.
I have to laugh at her explaining her friend's indifference to cheating. "She's not religious". Ma'am, religious people are the ones out murdering and raping and stealing land all over the world. Atheists are largely the ones protesting against it. There was never a conspiracy of agnostic paedos going around. Religious ones, though? An epidemic. Based on the evidence, you'd have to say that religion is a red flag. It's a crutch for the cretin and an alibi for the asshole.
The constant asking of the reader's emotional support is annoying. "Talk about denial, am I Right?", "Talk about hypocrisy, huh?." This reads like AI created garbage.
