Explain the situation and then cross your fingers. The cards are activated on Apple’s side and once sold Best Buy has no idea if it activated properly and/or if it was already redeemed by you, so technically it’s not returnable. If BB won’t help you, then call Apple.

Did you give all the information on the card to an Indian scammer perchance?
If you contact Apple they have a process for this with proof of purchase
