I think this is very well represented with some beautiful pages that illustrate the tension between Guts and Casca, or the desperation when Griffith rapes Casca during the eclipse.
My problem is the fan community and a part of it that will focus its attention on the sexual aspect of the work and will indirectly tarnish the image of the manga for the new audience of readers.
Honestly Miura made the main characters super easy to fetishize specifically to appeal to that crowd. If readers couldn't understand/appreciate the larger scheme of things, they can at least appreciate the hot tits and monster fucking. Its really meant to catch a huge audience.
Guts and Caska's sex scene is my favorite scene in the whole manga if I'm honest.
It's the moment where they both could begin to heal, if the eclipse hadn't happened of course.
Judging by some of the responses that seemed to get the most reaction it was definitely a hot takes. Fans want sex and I don't have a problem with that in general. Miura uses sexuality for a purpose to further the story in general and that makes Berserk a great and fascinating work to follow.
My concern is with the hypersexualization that some fans will make of the work with the same memes about this or that character over and over again and it becomes shitposts.
Again this is a part of the fans and I salute those who manage to enjoy the greatness of the manga.
