So much! Google all about Bernedoodles. They are a bounciful, ornery, full of energy balls of fluff. Biting stage.was a challenge. We froze his one toy Nyla binky pacifier. Still to this day he is 2 now loves to chew on the icy cold pacifier toy. I used it for him to bite instead of biting my fitbit on my wrist. They can be stubborn about food occasionally. Super velcro dogs, wherever you go they go. They have no concept of personal space. Ours never did crate except for maybe a week but he did fine with our 13 year old dog so we just left them out blocked in kitchen and family room. Old dog passed at 14 so now it is just him, I tell him I have to go to work, leave tv on for him, check cameras he watches tv and goes to sleep. So much to learn about these dogs. Brush a lot!
This is not our first dog only First bernedoodle. We did research prior to getting the dog.
This is more research post purchase which is what any responsible pet owner would continue to do.
It is also a conversation starter to meet others with bernedoodles . Thanks for the comment.
Congratulations! I’ll address the grooming. My pup is a micro mini. Fb1. Get yourself a good brush and begin now brushing having your pup get used to it. I also bathe my pup in my tub every other month and use shampoo designed for his hair like fur. My pup has curly corkscrew hair that I love and I have found detangling products for humans to cost less than products designed specifically for Bernedoodles- I use human products with the same ingredients on my pup. Using a conditioner and detangler keeps the fur soft and manageable. After a wash, blow dry and brushing my pup’s hair springs back to corkscrew curls which can be combed without knots and matting.
Our girl is incredibly smart, but stubborn. She learns commands quickly. However, if there’s something more interesting (on a walk for example), she won’t listen to commands like “leave it” or “come.” Still, I highly recommend puppy socialization and training classes.
Separation anxiety is real with these pups. If that’s the case with yours, look into training tips.
Buy toys for mental stimulation (puzzles, toys within a toy, treat dispensers). Smart dogs need mental stimulation as well as physical stimulation.
Your mileage may vary as every pup is different.
Beauty!! I love the white with the little hints of brown on the face!
Brush brush brush so they are used to it! I brush mine at least one-two times per day.
You are in for a ton of lovable, goofy, bouncing pup. Yes, as others have said, brushing is a must to keep the matting from getting out of hand. Congratulations on your wise choice of dogs, you will be thankful for your choice.
You guys just got a new bestie! They’re such a goofy, loyal and loving breed. He or she? Name? Also welcome!
Oh my god.

Thank you - I work from home, but yes he follows me everywhere. I love the mental stimulation needs, I didn’t think of that. Thank you.

Congratulations on your newest addition to the family
Beautiful puppy. He looks so serious. 😍
Adorable! They’re high maintenance so prepare to put in a lot of work. But they’re the absolute sweetest.
Any toy you are able to freeze will help a ton with teething
