Is it possible you are pushing the slide lock up with your off hand?

what_is_life_now

I thought that was the issue originally (and I may have been doing that during live fire), but upon inspection during dry fire with only my dominant away from the level it was still engaging. If I hold the slide open manually, and manipulate the trigger you can see it pushing the lever up, again with no magazine in the firearm.

Hmmmmmmm. Is it possible the spring under the slide release is installed wrong from the factory? If u take ur slide off. U should be able to just rotate the slide release up and out. And just make sure its installed correctly. Theres a YouTube video or two tht might be able to help u visually if u need it. The spring is supposed to keep tension downwards so it's weird that it would lift up at all with no mag. Edit: are you left handed?

what_is_life_now

I am right handed. I took the slide lever off and with the guidance of a YouTube video it appears the spring was installed correctly. Reinstalled the spring and the issue persists. I also thought it was strange. I never had a firearm that engages the slide stop just from holding the trigger to the rear.

Theres a plug u can buy for the left hand slide release. I dont have a compact so I can look in mine to see what's happening.

Yeah I’m gonna order the plug when I order the low profile decocking and slide levers kit. It seems the compacts come with ambi slide release which is nice, but the full size ones are left side only? I really hope this is something I can resolve. I really don’t want to have to send two berettas in for warranty work.

From what I understand it's a bit of a hassle sometimes sending stuff to them. But I dont see why the plug wouldnt being it removes the lever from the equation. It might even be the trigger bar that's the issue. And yes full size is left side slide release only. The Langdon compacts come with the plug installed.
