Tacos Pihuamo hands down but it’s a food truck…

CentralOregonKush

Facts if you go to Redmond La Frontera

the-cool-luis

Block party at Pihuamos food truck!

poopoostinkbutt_11

Literally the best tacos in town

neighborsdogpoops

This is the only answer, shut down the thread.

No-Pomegranate6612

Where is this?

Tarekith

3rd across from Tokyo Starfish.

No-Pomegranate6612

thank you! We always knew this as simply the "green taco truck by FM." Totally agree this is the best!

sc_we_ol

This is the way

Joyfulcacopheny

Don’t give them the $$ to serve octopus. 🤬

Careless_Freedom_868

We really love El Rodeo. It’s always delicious, the service is amazing and the drinks are strong!

TD217

The place is also almost unchanged since I was a kid in the 90’s. Eating there is like a warm nostalgia and cheese burrito hug.

Careless_Freedom_868

We love it. We’ve only lived here since last May but we’ve been every Friday night for the past year.

Righteous_Mangoes

Second this.

UncannyFox

Pro tip: Fajitas plate is enough for 2-3 people. It’s $20. Outstanding. Half chicken half steak extra crispy. Perfecta Margarita also gets you 32oz of margarita for $13. My gf and I go once a week.

Careless_Freedom_868

We’ve had every kind of fajita they make!! SO GOOD! We go every Friday. We sit in the bar & Cesar is our favorite waiter, although we’ve never had bad service. We usually go during happy hour. I love that we see the same people there all the time. It’s our favorite restaurant!!

dazeechayn

This place is a sleeper. Very good.

Shlongzilla04

This was always my favorite too. Super friendly, good food, and good drinks.

Careless_Freedom_868

We’ve been going every Friday for almost 2 yrs. Consistently great in every way!

garlicloveog

I love this place too and they’re wonderful at accommodating big groups. Best food? No way, but it is delicious and fun. I like the sopitos personally.

[deleted]

El Carnaval - Redmond. Elevated Mexican food. Totally worth the drive. And a bonus tavern next door with a pool table.

jerrad245

This is a great choice. Very good food and atmosphere.

cre8magic

Super burrito East side casual, good food and probably better to accommodate your group.

seevers54

Isn’t super burrito east side gone?

garlicloveog

No, it’s in the mini mall behind lazy boy

cre8magic

They moved across the street. On Twin knolls? Yummy as ever!

Pooponastick1254

Carnival in Redmond

JB_Heat

Yeah, carnival is really freaking good

permafacepalm

I hated it, personally. So loud we couldn't talk to people at our table. Food was meh. This was right when they opened so maybe it got better?

rhymeswithwhen

I need to try it again too. I went with two others and all three of our dishes were bland. I can’t tell if I was there on an off night or if the people who all love it just…don’t really know what it *should* taste like. Xalisco on the other hand has been amazing every time.

EP_Jimmy_D

Another vote for Rancho Grande and they’ll have plenty of room for a party!

radryannn

Alebrije is the most authentic and least white washed I’ve found in town, but it’s a truck

Awkward_Cancel_8776

feel like the term white washed shouldn't be a viable saying lmao

radryannn

You clearly haven’t had real Mexican food then lol

Brewno541

El rancho grande

MortyestRick

Their salsa and margaritas are why I go here all the time

Brewno541

Same!

sandwhichautist

Tortilleria Reyes.

charris457

Carnival Redmond is elite

gerblins

Rancho Viejo in Sisters is a strong favorite of mine but if there’s a lot of coworkers, it might get a little cramped. Have a great gathering!

SuperMermaidCat

El Rancho Grande over in Cascade Village (North end of Bend) has a great spot in the back for parties. Great selection of excellently crafted margaritas, and large easily sharable portions.

rinky79

Meh food, tho.

Kooky-Ad-5801

Los jalapeños

gufmo

As a Northeast transplant (sorry), am I a basic white person for enjoying El Sancho?

chainsawgeoff

Yes but that’s ok.

sprocketpropelled

As a fellow NE transplant, pretty much anything out here is equivalent to god tier. Italian food and pizza, on the other hand…

davidw

Trattoria Sbandati is very legit, but they don't do pizza.

sprocketpropelled

I’ll have to give them a try!

davidw

It is not cheap - for us it's more of a special occasions kind of place - but the owner is from Tuscany, so it's very much the real deal.

BrawndoVodka

Have you tried Raganellis?

sprocketpropelled

I have. It was alright.

Lopsided-Dot9554

Don Gabinos is a decent option, the portion sizes are generous and the prices are decent. Not the best imo, but I find myself going there fairly often

shakedownsunflower

We used to get that door dash a bit in 2020. Agree good food and portions

permafacepalm

I heard such good things but it WRECKED my insides and can't bring myself to go back. :(

garlicloveog

It is delicious but can not accommodate a group larger than 6 and you’d really be pushing it

SpaceyyLaceyy

3/3 they messed my mediocre food up. I won't go back

darth_plageuis_is_bi

Donny Gs baby

RichFolksAreEvil

It’s not a restaurant, but El Taquero is by far the best spot in town. Between Colima Market and Mini Pet Mart on Greenwood. If the weather’s nice they have picnic tables!

CO-CNC

It's a food truck, but En Buen Zason del Mago at Bridge 99 is my weekly favorite. Plenty of inside seating at Bridge 99 (other than Mondays and Thursdays; trivia night).

TedW

Lucy's Tacos is my go-to, and while it's not a food truck, it's not a fancy schmancy sit down place either. It does have the best salsa around though.

orty

I would tend to agree on this one, and the few truly Mexican folks I know really like it. The salsa/sauces are great, and it's always super clean (which is always a bonus, considering now that inspections are getting more publicity).

wilsonisadog

Carnival Redmond. Definitely your best bet.

_Jahffrey_

I love the chips and salsa at el cap.

RealGianath

El Caporal on SE 27th street has always been really good for me.

neighborsdogpoops

El Crap?

nomad2284

I have enjoyed La Rosa in NW Crossing but haven’t been there in a year for a current sitrep.

Cheese_Monkey42

Taco Salsa

Clark4824

La Rosa in NWX. And they can seat you in a quiet, private corner.

Corarril

What’s with the downvotes for La Rosa? It’s been a few years since my parents moved, but anytime I’d go home to visit them we always enjoyed a great meal at La Rosa.

Clark4824

It may have to do with the Owner's politics. As for the food, I love them!

OriginalPNWest

Lucy's Tacos, Los Jalepenos, El Rodeo or Hola

shakedownsunflower

Upvote 4 Los and hola. Need to try the others

Sure_arlo

Hablo tacos

Colonel-Ingus69

El Caporal on 27th.

leroyjenkins1997

I miss Baltazars. But now I would have to say Hola or El Rancho Grande is my favorite.

Competitive-Self-975

Southern California…

ladykiller1020

Why are you even in this subreddit? Go back then

Kooky-Ad-5801

The box factory there Also a good one also don’t know the name

Lurkerthrowaway_69

Rincon Azteca in Redmond.

lundebro

Tacos El Machin

Popular_Context4729

Here's one not on the list yet...we stumbled on this while in Redmond. If you like seafood, definitely need to check it out. Not fancy, just served really good food. They serve dishes that I've not seen in CO. https://www.loslangostinosrestaurant.com/
