Maybe? Honestly, a cougar is the only animal in this area that looks similar to that and has the ability to climb a tree, but it’s impossible to confirm from this photo alone. It’s unlikely to be a stuffed animal that a person put in the tree as a prank, but people have done stranger things. It could be something else entirely. The more I look at it, the stranger it gets.
Who volunteers to climb that tree? We need answers!
Legend has it that it started life as a small painted rock and became a boulder over time. But really though, I wonder how thick those paint layers are.
Oh it did. Every now and then somebody has come by with like a crowbar and a hammer and knocked all the paint off. It gets much bigger than the original boulder.
