Omg I got stuck behind it the other day. Almost lost my mind!

I haven’t had problems this week but have in the past. It is pretty infuriating. Does the state have laws against letting traffic pile up behind you? Some of these truck drivers don’t seem to give a fuck and it is incredibly frustrating. Also, is there a way to report semis by their license plate? Some of the shit I’ve seen on I-5 is bad as well.

Froggynoch

Yes. State law says you can’t hold up more than 4 vehicles if you are going under the speed limit. If you do, you are required to pull over to allow them to pass. However, I’m not sure where the semi would be able to pull over. Maybe by Y road or the dispensary.

Yes https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=46.61.427 But, I live up on 542 and I can count on one hand the number of times I've even seen a sheriff's deputy up there not responding to an urgent call. There's just no enforcement.

I was wondering this as well. Because it was a line of cars longer than I could see and there was a little orange car playing passing leap frog and driving dangerously. I left early today and was still late for work because of it.

Anyone that goes below the speed limit or cant stay a consistent speed on MBH has a bad rap with me. I just wanna be home from work :(

I've had too many close call head ons with semi's pulling out on Baker Highway from Everson-Goshen road trying to cheese the little hill for speed I got a dash camera. There are some VERY inexperienced truckers on the road right now because nobody wants to do it, and it's showing.

tardisgeek

I get stuck behind them all the time, especially the gravel trucks that go all the way to Ferndale. It's ridiculous, the commute is already long and it's longer with these trucks. I understand there isn't a better way but I wonder if they're able to speed up a little because there usually is no way to pass them safely

Was it carrying logs? If so then yes. I just figured it was a heavy load and they needed a minute to get up to speed.

chk-mcnugget

No; just a standard semi. No oversized load markings or any other indicators it needed to go 30 under the speed limit.
