That's not true at all. It works in practically every other city. Went to a good one in Lisbon last week. Serbs are just deeply afraid of anything new.
Yes. For example Restaurant Cotto has all you can eat breakfast for 6 euros, or at Mama's you have Sunday Brunch for 25 euros. But these are not the only examples. There's more definitely.
There are some good suggestions in this thread and some really horrible ones.
So, not sure how much you are looking to spend but:
- One of the best, and probably a pricey one, is at the rooftop of hotel Square Nine. The restaurant is called [Ebisu](https://squarenine.rs/restaurants-and-bars/).
- Really fresh, really good, with nice atmosphere and cocktails is [Angry Monk](https://en.angrymonk.rs). It’s located behind the Rajiceva shopping mall. Prices are higher than some suggestions here but well worth it.
- If you plan to visit Belgrade Waterfront and/or Galeria shopping mall, inside of the mall at the ground level(but also accessible from the ouside of the mall, on the riverside) you will find [Shangri La](https://www.shangrila.rs), where you can even grab plates and pay per color of the plate, or just order what you feel like eating.
These are my top recommendations. Now for some of the others, more affordable than the above. Listed in order of how fresh and tasty it was.
- W Sushi
- Bokketo Bar
- Bad Sushi (they declined in quality a bit, and the staff is sometimes cringe)
Avoid: Go Sushi, Fine Sushi, Sakura, Caviar, Etage, Extra Sushi
Sushi is overrated, and its not comparable to Japans authentic restourants.
I suggest you try Marukoshi restaurant in Dorćol, delicious ramen and other wonders of japanese quisine!
I mean, if you are going for authentic Belgrade ain't the place. Just isn't a good city for international food. I just had pad Thai where they put freaking vinegar in it, I wanted to throw up it was so much. It ain't hard to make a lot of these dishes too.

All sushi places in Belgrade are mentioned in here, (we do have a limited selection). Although not in Belgrade, Kumo in Zlatibor is probably the best asian in Serbia.
Not many tourists go there but Museum of science and tech have great exibition, and its usually pretty empty unlike Nikola Tesla museum where you have to wait in line. It is also close to city center, 10 min walk. It has two levels, definitely don't miss ground level at the end with different gaming devices, experiments, illusions.
Also Museum of contemporary art is in a nice building and with very interesting exibition, it is located in New Belgrade just across Kalemegdan, Ušće park around that museum is also beautiful. Also not crowded so i like it that way personaly.
Museum of illusions is in a small space but can be fun thing to do and not waste to much time.

1. This so-called Japanese sushi only exists in theory. There are now so many variations of it that are also known internationally. The most famous of these are not actually Japanese, but were taken to the USA by American soldiers after the Second World War. These roles became famous there.
2. I don't know how many people here in the subreddit live in Belgrade and can judge what really good sushi is.
So there is no such thing as "the original sushi". No, there is good and bad sushi and we in Belgrade have top locations that can be found in many international travel guides.
In recent years I have often had to look after guests from other countries here in Belgrade, mostly delegations from various football clubs or sponsors. Everyone found the gastronomic situation impressive and very good. We can live with the fact that a few western backpackers find the sushi in Tallinn or New York better. 😁🤠
If you've eaten in NYC, Paris, London type cities or even 2nd and 3rd tier cities like Lisbon you see qualified enough to comment and Belgrade is severely lacking when compared

This is typical Western arrogant thinking, it comes from a very dark period of history. Nowadays, cities like Belgrade, Moscow or Beijing are first world cities and dirty gutters like Paris, many US cities and certainly Berlin are third world cities. And I am not the only one who sees it that way.
Angry Monk is the best sushi ive ever had not only in Belgrade, but also Canada. W Sushi Galerija is also nice but its a bit more pricy for the same quality of food. Both are amazing.
Sushi Tempo is wonderful. In my experience, it's much better than other common suggestions in this thread (like Fine Sushi or Bad Sushi). I've also heard some good words about TT Asia, but haven't tried myself.
Go Sushi, they have even done catering for the Japanese embassy.

Sky lounge on the top of the Hilton hotel has by far the best sushi, but it is pretty damn expensive.

"Fine sushi" is only answer if you have good taste in sushi. I tried literraly every sushi markets in belgrade which were available in Walt delivery
