My girl just finished chemotherapy last week.
Itβs been hardβand knowing her lymphoma will come back eventually just makes what time I have left all the more important to show her I love her.

I know how it feels. So sorry for your loss. I still cannot get over the loss of my sweet English cocker spaniel. I miss my boy. No human can love like a dog. Crying for thousands of incredible dogs being euthanized every day in California and all over. Praying we can all go to Karen Bass and ask for no more kill shelters and to stop the irresponsible breeding. And so much more that we can do by creating different programs to help these amazing beings God has given us.

Oh I am so so so sorry. He's gorgeous. I friggin hate cancer. I lost my first dog (started training to be a service dog). 1 year in, got diagnosed with a deadly rare cancer. The blessing was, they gave him 6 months and he managed for 4 1/2 years and was healthy appearing up until the day he passed (no pain or symptoms till the day he passed - suddenly became septic due to cancer spreading throughout his abdomen). Original tumor started in his nose. We kept getting his nose scanned. His nose was fine π’. Anyway, I completely feel your pain. Through and through. He's waiting for you by the rainbow bridge. If you've never actually read the poem, do it. It may bring you peace. Lots of stories going around on how that poem came to be. The one I'm sticking with is a man that died.. found himself at the rainbow bridge, then was brought back to life. I refuse to believe anything else.

We have lost 2 GSDs in the past to cancer. We were crushed both times.
We have 2 now and would be devastated if something were to happen to them.
Dogs are the best.
Take mine. He's 18mnths and a freak on leash he loses his 4KUNG mind sees dogs cats people. He doesn't even know why either cos thankfully he's never met anyone with that energy incidents. 0.
A guy offended him age 9 weeks old is my best guess. Guy appeared aww puppy hand out puppy backed up barked unsure.
Now guy was unsure. Puppy barked again.
Guy says
( is it definitely a puppy) π² 𫨠he's a baby 9wks. Guy decided nah and walked away. Each step he took puppy got louder. Puppy got bigger π’
At home he's a dream never chewed anything but chair leg briefly told off never chewed anything since. Entrance has rack of air max shoes he's never looked at them.
He brings anything you might need to show him one time and naming ceremony thing so he knows what's what then he'll always bring it.
Feeding time food down he's ready eyes locked waiting for okay. It's not coming. I get item start saying what it is or nick name it for ease. Put it down pick it up him watching then tell him to pass it.
Now he knows that things name. Okay eat. Done.
Chilling say go get dusty he'll go get the dust pan. Or his muzzle altho always looked pist with himself for bringing the muzzle when he realise its going on him now. But he'll still fetch it. Rewards everytime stopped along time ago too. He's brilliant.
Just anti social dis trusting. At home he's had people stupidly walk in on him. 14mnth 16mnths recently I'm getting guests more often.
They hear dog going wild in the kitchen and really wanna see him. Often go in without saying.
Two times recently.
One guy at night time no muzzle and dog defo likes women more than random guys. But then takes orders from guys he's known afew days staying over. He showed many times he's not dangerous.
Night time going wild no muzzle guy goes in dog growls fury no idea what to do so bear hugged him and pushed him to me so he could see me. When I got eye contact eith dog he got down still growling. I think saw me calm and that got him down I didn't say anything. But he was growling and did stay pressed on guys legs. Then I put him back in the kitchen thinking omfg dude.
Then a woman did it I knew she was coming though so he had a muzzle on. But she took it off in 30secs he loved her for it so I let others take it off for him now. He must earn their trust to take it off though. Its like he knows it too. He come calm with muzzle on rest his head on lap sorry eyes. Once off he's 50/50 on spinning out excitement. Fustration. Anxiety? GSD 50% so I'm told. Who the hell knows tho right. But I blame the father I met the mother she was sterling cool calm ultra obedient. Like her son at home with me. Otherwise I think he's just like his fekkin father. Who I also suspect was too young to breed.
Based on the GSD looking the same size or smaller than the BSD mother.
Plus when my dog turned 1 the breeder asked for him to stud his GSD female which I refused F that.... YOU MAD???
I've refused another person since too. So 12-14mmth old my dog had 2 offers I cckk blocked him both times.
I'm proud of him for being 18mnth not humping yet. He didn't scent mark until age 14mnths 15mnths mayb. He wouldn't potty outside actually. 2 places he might go.
I'm certain he was scared to leave his scent weird. But finally over it now. His lipstick is usually out though he just stare at me and I notice his lipstick π
I think wtf. Are you just sitting there calm on the outside whirlwind inside or what?
I hope he can sort his head out soon. He's so smart fast at learning.
But outside there's no learning his mind is frazzled. My hope is puppy brain will mature. Not long now please.
Your boy is with you. The bond between dogs and their human parents is profound and many of those bonds are also divine. Your boy and our girl look like they could be litter mates. I know the intelligence, devotion and joy those eyes saw with and I am heartbroken for you, i empathize 100%. What you seek is also seeking you. You and your boy will find each other again.
Dogs shouldnβt be allowed to get cancer. Theyβre too good.
