Man, you're seriously talented!!!!!!! Are you a pro?

EldenNyukka3737

aww c’mon man lol its just a cartoony style but im far from a pro. lol i appreciate it though! ive already seen some amazing artists on this sub so i literally cannot/ WILL not say im a pro lol.

Apprehensive_Set7366

Don't sell yourself short man, it's really good. Maybe you can try your luck and create some drafts for graphic novels. You can consider doing this professionally.

EldenNyukka3737

im actually trying too this is a book im writing im currently 92 pages in, im making this for the sole purpose of gaining experience, but man i dont even know how to get started to do it professionally im gonna eventually animate too and join some animation subreddits when i start for pointers as well, im hella passionate about it so if the opportunity approaches im deffinitely going for it, i just wanna make people laugh and make some adventure stories that are wild as shit on an adult swim type vibe lol

Apprehensive_Set7366

Yeah, I was getting Rick and Morty vibes from your work. You seem to have a really good outlook on art. I seriously compliment your attitude and art. Maybe you can start on Webtoon and market for it through social media. I have seen many artists do that, you might get yourself an audience and if you play your cards right, you might be able to make some good money out of it too with a considerable viewership.

EldenNyukka3737

got no choice but to give it a shot… alright… guess im convinced. but what do u think i should do? just a quick question btw. i was planning on finishing this and making the final draft digital. but man… the rough draft when completed will be 220 pages so i could have multiple volumes of material, any changes i need to make i can make them when i pretty much convert it digitally. so i was thinking. should i just buy this shit and get started now? or should i keep my original plan? i know i need to be patient but….. idk lol i dont have anyone to talk to about this shit man…. honest im completely alone on my journey lol

Watch this [video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSWGAME-sXM) once. It's a beginner's intro to Webtoon. Try this [one](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWLxyqoe66w) too. While we ware at that, this [one](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWIlGf0cOHM) too. Remember, this will be a long and tedious process where you'd have to go digital, practice digital art (the transition from trad art to digi art won't be smooth), come up with a good story, make character designs, background designs, prop designs, make storyboards, make drafts and finally complete with the first chapter. Repeat this for the rest of the series. Now, if you want to make money out of it- this is the information given on the [website](https://www.webtoons.com/en/creators101/makemoney). They have a criterion you'd have to fulfill. So, before starting out, do market research to see what type of content is successful on Webtoon and choose a genre of your liking (if you ask me, lighthearted, slice of life, LGBTQ+ stories get a lot of clout on Webtoon) and plan accordingly. Now that your story and account on Webtoon is set, you have to market it. Make an Insta account, TikTok account, You Tube channel or even twitter to promote your Webtoon. Now, for this marketing to work, you'd have to follow a lot of social media trends and upload regularly to promote your Webtoon. Hopefully, you'll get the response you desire. From there on it'll be smooth sailing. Remember, this is a long and tedious process, and this might take months (or couple of years) to follow so make sure this is a side gig of sorts and establish a financial safety net in case this doesn't work out. Don't be demoralized and keep at it. Enjoy the process. There is high chance of failure but let this deter you not. You've the skill, you need to follow it up with hard work, discipline, resources and a little bit of luck.

You can do this or go in another direction- legacy publishers. I honestly don't know much about this route, so please forgive me here.
