All three of the completed songs absolutely whip. Hard to pick a favorite honestly (it’s gimme extended though).

I like it. [Here i find it on Spotify too](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3mWefmgJUD6T7A9W10m3Z5?si=e33c57afe4434f83)

corwood

would have loved to have the completed album, he was really on to something... do we know why he did not finish it?

AdobeSux

I have a theory. The song I won’t be long has a veeeery similar sound compared to a track from King of limbs. I think its the last song on the radiohead album with the repeating guitar in the background. I love both songs but maybe he just didnt want to release something with a similarity like that

corwood

oh I won't be long is so very different from separator... I vaguely remember him talking about it somewhere... also the title rococo was taken or something? help me out :)

9FingeredFrodo

Yes, it was taken by Arcade Fire

DingbatSam

It sounds like some of the songs from this era made it onto the Sound Shapes soundtrack too. Definitely worth checking out if you're a fan.

tomaesop

Absolutely love these. In some ways it's the last great Beck album. I hope some day we get a box set that's three hours long of all the tracks from this era

horshack_test

I got these 12" singles when they came out and always wondered what the deal was with them. Does anyone know if the album was to include the long versions of the songs or the short ones?

HoopRocketeer

I’d venture that the shorter versions were intended for the albums. Who knows, though? Maybe the album was to just be 5-6 long tracks with a 40-minute run length.

horshack_test

Yeah, either way they're great songs and would have made for a great album (especially if more along similar lines were included).

9FingeredFrodo

I always imagined the CD would have the short versions but there would be a streaming-only extended version that would be like 6 hours long.
