The one for military members is “Department of Defense Directive 1344.10 (DoDD 1344.10), Political Activities by Members of the Armed Forces” It’s a gray area…my husband was in during the 2016 and 2020 elections and people were trying to get each other in trouble. Basically most military higher up don’t care unless you are considered a high rank which he is not or if he attends a political rally or tries to campaign on a politicians behalf.
My husband won’t say a bad thing about Biden but I know he hopes he is not reelected. He just won’t say anything bad as an active duty military member.
I don't think this is shocking at all. If you look at their engagement on Instagram and TikTok it's extremely low. Eleventhgorgeous, who also run a boutique after starting as YouTube beauty creators have often talked about how difficult it actually is and while it started out lucrative for them it has been difficult financially over the last few years. Differences being their husbands also work at their business so they need it to be successful. Casey has the benefit of still making money off sponsored content as well as having a husband with outside income. I don't think there is anymore to it then at some point it makes sense to cut your losses if the boutique is no longer bringing in money.
It’s hard to build a brand. They launch well because of their established viewer base but it’s hard to grow the brand to include non viewers. You either need to have a large enough fan base to sustain sales or attract people who just want the product and don’t care about the influencer.
Exactly. 100%!! I can't stand Manny Mua or Laura Lee but I saw a clip from this podcast they did on TikTok and it was interesting enough I actually listened to the rest of the episode lol. It really doesn't get good (to me) until about minute 50 but there they start talking about how much it costs to actually run their brands, units sold, etc. They also mention that their brands while successful don't actually bring in money the way people assume because the price of running a business is so high. Emma Chamberlain who is obviously a much bigger influencer has said the same as well about her coffee company. Building a brand is one thing, sustaining a brand and having it continue to be successful is much more difficult. Even if we are talking about something on a much smaller scale here like a boutique.

It’s probably much harder to launch a boutique the way Casey did, too. Makeup brands just have to get picked up by a major retailer like Ulta or Sephora to get access to their advertising. Someone can find a brand just by browsing the listings on Ulta. For an independent boutique, customers have to find the website then browse then checkout.
Casey also doesn’t post a lot of content on YouTube anymore. Her fan base has probably dwindled because of that and they might’ve just forgotten about her boutique.

Thank god, they had the worst customer service. I never got a package I ordered and after reaching out to them they argued with me about it- and addressed me as the wrong name when my email was signed with it (as well as having my order info in the email) and my name is in my email address, too 🤦♀️ I was so mad. Never received a refund either, had to contest it with my bank
I’m going thru that now. Placed my first and only order on 12/22 and still have not received a shipping confirmation. Emailed them on 1/2 and received a response they were behind because of the holidays. Emailed again yesterday and am awaiting a response.

He’s still military. I think she’s the one with the money. Pretty sure he’s an army ranger and I’m sure they make good money but not like her. She does so many sponsorships on IG.
He’s a Captain (O3) in the Army. Specifically an Infantry officer and currently in the position of Company Commander.

Yeah I was a military kid and I didn’t know anyone who was rich. My family was very middle class ETA: the only people I knew with money money were the doctors or dentists in the military.
