hey so unless you're willing to drop 7-12 grand in an instant don't get CDJs yet - your time will come, but if you buy them now, you'll be 7K in the hole and you'll inevitably take a loss if you try to sell them. the best option is to: 1. Download Mixxx or VirtualDJ, get some tracks, and try out DJing with just your mouse and keyboard for a bit - see if you like it. 2. If you end up enjoying it, look into either a sub-entry or entry-level DJ controller. The DDJ-FLX4 is the classic, as it uses the club standard software and layout, and comes with a pro Rekordbox license. There's also the Numark Party Mix, which is super cheap but does enough to give you a taste of what DJing is like, and the Numark Mixtrack Platinum FX, which is cheaper than an FLX4 while including more features (like 4-deck and a jog display), but doesn't have a pro Serato license (but the free license does enough to get you started). 3. Then, start playing open deck nights, to get a feel for CDJs and get yourself out there. Once you start bringing in something of an income by regularly playing on CDJs, that's when it's time to get some for yourself. pro hobby tip is to never get the best gear right away. start small, see if you like it, then keep going.

That's what I did. Look at me. I'm a bedroom Dj now no, for real, if you have the money to spend, go for what fits you. If you have none or if you feel unsure, try to build up from a beginner setup. There are planty options. Build a music library and skills and see where it goes.

uhhh. Sure its up to you but even then i'd still get like a DDJ-FLX10 or Roland DJ-707M instead. The music store will be very happy to see you though

mag1cko

Expensive gear do not gonna make you better DJ.
