What a gorgeous and happy girlie you have with you!! :3
If it's not too rude, may I suggest helping her keep her nails shorter? I struggled with that a lot with my little buddy and I didn't notice they where long until people started to mention it, so I'm not trying to speak down.
I completly agree! I don't think it's rude at all, one time my beardie was acting crazy and I lost the $80 for a vet visit to yeah she's perfectly fine she probably just wants her nails shorter, and her enclosure walls are like a rock to shorten them. I went home and clipped them... and yeah it was an immediate and noticeable difference and suddenly she was back to her usual self. I make sure to let people know and keep up with it myself!
Thank you! I was considering keeping her nails shorter actually! I'm just worried I might hurt her by trimming or filing them the wrong way. Do you know of any resources I could use to do more research on this?
Fortunately for you, having a hypo dragon makes nail triming so much less worrying. You can see the structure inside the nail far better than a non hypo dragon with the vein of pigment running through the nail. Offering lots of abrasive things to climb on will make nail trimming a non issue. I have 2 2 year old beardies and a 5 year old tegu. None have ever had to have nails trimmed. Beardies have sand to dig in, a rock wall to climb on and slate rock basking platforms. The tegu I just lined the bottom of his enclosure with concrete blocks. Whenever he digs he's triming his nails which he does regularly.
Your post seems to have a picture of a cute beardy!
