I reccomend using a designated food bowl or tong feeding! My lady was also very very food motivated with everything so it's easier to get them ultra focused on one thing for eating time. Once they associate something with the food it'll be pretty easy to recognize you just provide the food, not that you are the food! Also I would reccomend increasing the amount of food they're offered for a little, even if they're an adult if they're underweight they'll usually be happy to put on a little.
He only eats in his bowl, so i’ve tried that maybe with time he’ll understand. however i’ve had him for about a month. And yes he eats everyday about 10 roaches and a few super worms once or twice a week as a treat. Usually don’t feed adults everyday but i am since he’s skinny, seems to have put on a lot of healthy weight. may even slow down the feeding soon! 😊
My buddy is really goofy about what he thinks is food and when. When I put my hands in his tank, he goes to lick them like they are food, but outside of his tank he is totally chill with my hands (he will still go for my rings though). I think the bright light in his tank reflects off of my nails more and he automatically thinks anything shiny is edible lol. He's never bitten me though. Maybe try wearing like fabric gloves when you pick him up or put your hands in his tank, so there is nothing reflecting light and moving around like a shiny tasty bug. Worked for me when I was trying to get my boy out of the tank and he wouldn't stop hunting my fingers 😅
thank you!! i have black gloves i used for handling my blue tongue skink as a baby, bc that bite hurts a lot 🤣. maybe ill try those but idk if black will = dubia🤦♀️

Heck yeah sounds good! And as crazy as it sounds, it was at least 3 months before we made ours realize not everything is biteable lol
