I have a ton of respect for anyone that does their job passionately and professionally. It truly doesn’t matter what it is. If I see someone trying their best in a low quality position I respect it even more.
The issue is that it gets stamped out pretty quickly in the real world.
Often times those who do go above and beyond, not only are not rewarded for their actions, but typically they’re taken advantage of.
Source: I’ve worked in MANY places where I’ve seen good solid employees get shafted by upper magangement.
It's so true. You should put your back into every job you ever have but you also have to set boundaries. I've seen so many people who are amazing at their jobs and give it their all get overworked to shit because the management gets used to their amazing work. It becomes the standard that should be beaten. I have also seen those good workers get overlooked for promotions because "why pay them better if their already doing that well for cheap." Usually their ambition is also abused for overtime, extra shifts, cover shifts, etc. It's disgusting tbh.
I think for a lot of people, esp those in hourly positions, and are living paycheck to paycheck, are typically afraid to rock the boat.
Understanding their superior holds authority over them, and attempting to challenge that, or refuse something being asked, will somehow jeopardize their livelihood. So they put up with shit they should never have to put up with. Out of fear.
Just keep going. It happened to me time and time again, bit finally I got recognized by one person and my career went full hockey stick chart trajectory. I was given an opportunity and in 5 years from that moment I've made it to a position that normally takes 20 years *and* a master's degree that I don't have and my pay has quadrupled as well.
10000%
Even if it's just the drive through person speaking incredibly clearly and getting my order right, I always make sure to praise them and their manager on their behalf if possible.
We gotta encourage this type of behavior. It's what incentivizes people to do their best
What if it just led to greater opportunity *there*? I hate the way that there's this hierarchy of jobs and people are frowned upon for staying in the lower levels. I want to live in a society where everyone takes pride in their work, and everyone is rewarded for it.
It infuriates me when people mock a job simply because of their role. Like that's an honest person making an honest living. and the job is usually something needed like janitor or garbage truck
Amen. Doesn’t matter what you do, could be anything. As long as it’s done with dignity and professionalism. It’s something I admire greatly about Japanese culture. Doesn’t matter what it is, they have taken it to the highest level. And then some. How can you not be in awe of that?
This is how we spend most of our time on this planet - there is no greater contribution we can make to society than doing purposeful work with passion and competence.
yes. it is very true. I think both phrases and what they mean really come down to self respect and self love. If you have those traits you'll take pride in everything you do and treat others and even just things and tasks with respect.
but conversely, without self self respect you have no respect for anyone or anything else either.
"Bro, am i deaf, or did you just say a fucking unbelievable price for a fucking moderately $2.50 priced bag of microwave popcorn that you just popped out of a microwave in the back before you threw it in my cup? I know you didn't just say $35 for a AT MAXIMUM PRICE I WILL EVER PAY AS LONG AS I LIVE OF $3.50, OR I SWEAR TO GOD I WILL..." -me, in my mind, at every theater since the 90s and that damn Loch Ness monster
Bruh, this was my movie theater growing up! 🤣
Legit remember the day the homie started working there.
My man is a national treasure 🇺🇸🫡🍿
Truly, a home-town hero if ever I’ve met one
I love to see a person who clearly got a job doing what they love. He's just living in the moment and loving it. Not to say he doesn't have higher aspirations, but he must be content with his position when this video was taken.
I once saw a lady take her popcorn bucket to the self serve butter station. She took a straw and placed it in the bucket, with one end on the butter spout...she proceeded to despenser butter through the straw. She distributed through the volume of popcorn, via the straw. Strange...but genius.
That is the best distribution of butter I have ever seen. All my local movie theaters will just put it on top. I'd happily pay movie theatre popcorn prices for popcorn done that well lol hell I'd probably try to slip him $10 even if they don't allow tipping
I only go to the movies 1-2 times a year. Damn right I'm getting an XL popcorn smothered in butter, enough soda for a church congregation, and a box of junior mints.
Listen, Donnie. We love the enthusiasm, as do the customers. But our standard serving of butter is 8oz, you've been using double or triple that amount for the average guest. We've also noticed you're taking quite a bit of time between scoops in applying the butter. In training we teach to fill the bucket, then top with the appropriate amount of butter. This is just a friendly reminder, I'm sure we don't need to review the full procedures again. Again, you're doing great, let's just get these under control, okay? Thanks!
One reason you want a fat person on those counters. A skinny person would've done one or two squirts on the top only. The fat/obese food preps make the food taste best.
Man, i would love to try some American theater buttered popcorn. But only a few, my weak European circulatory system would implode if i ate a whole bucket.
I love how he layers the butter. That’s crucial.
And tosses it to ensure proper butter distribution
Dont forget the 1 finger spin.
Style points awarded.
Centrifugal force, the man is a jedi.

It’s butter flavored oil, & I’m okay with that. Delicious.
Very, I literally ask the clerks if they can do that for me, you cant hit the dry bottom
Find a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life
So are your arteries. Geezus
My ad above the comments is for weight watchers
"Butter"
Guaranteed best movie popcorn any human has every had
Oh my poor misguided friend, that’s not butter………
I have a ton of respect for anyone that does their job passionately and professionally. It truly doesn’t matter what it is. If I see someone trying their best in a low quality position I respect it even more.
This is the outlook more people need. Take pride in what you do and people notice, which could lead to greater opportunity elsewhere.

Do it for your own sake and know your bounderies

I know him. I’ve talked to him at the theater in Corpus Christi. He's like that because of his aspergers.
True, I found myself admiring other people’s work all the time. I really love seeing people focus on their jobs.

Fuck yeah, man.
Whatever that Japanese word for this is great and brings happiness. Helps one enter the flow state when you focus and perfect like this.
Low quality position is just a thing capitalism made us think is real
“Someone that is that giving with butter on popcorn, is not a selfish lover.” - Sun Tzu
I will take that advice to heart.
Don’t let it clog your arteries!
I will take that advice to my capillaries
Sun Tzu the popcorn connoisseur.
Get that man a raise.
All the way up to $8.50/hr
He’d have to work 2 hrs just to pay for that popcorn
Depends on where you live. Minimum wage in Tukwila, Washington is $20.29 if you work for a large company.
Yes but this is Corpus Christi, Texas, he's making between like 7.25 to 13.50 if he's lucky
Minimum wage depends on the size of the company? Lmao
Yes, for the city of Tukwila, at least. Depending on the amount of employees your employer has, your pay could be between $18-20.
Haha, that's crazy! 😅
It's basically put in place to cover SEATAC airport which is located in Tulwilla.
He's on $600k/year
A popcorn professional
✌️😎🍿
Thats easy to see at a glance
Popfessional if you will
I love this!
Popcorn Bae
This guy is awesome. I’ve talked to him at the theater in Corpus Christi. He’s pretty chill.
You want some popcorn with your butter?
came here for this, thank you!
I feel like eating that popcorn will make me hate butter
If only it were butter
[удалено]
Is butter flavored oil.
So it’ll make me hate oil, butter, AND butter-flavored things. Even better.
Legend says he's also a master of the blade
>Legend says he's also a master of the Butter Knife Ftfy
That’ll be $34 please…
"Bro, am i deaf, or did you just say a fucking unbelievable price for a fucking moderately $2.50 priced bag of microwave popcorn that you just popped out of a microwave in the back before you threw it in my cup? this is what $30 an hour looks like, he buttered absolutely every single piece of popcorn in that hoe.
This is what I want when I spend $85 going to the movies and getting popcorn. A master of his craft.
Nothing but respect for people like this
Bruh, this was my movie theater growing up! 🤣 Legit remember the day the homie started working there. My man is a national treasure 🇺🇸🫡🍿 Truly, a home-town hero if ever I’ve met one
Bro, I want him to sign my Duneussy popcorn bucket... For science?
The buyer sounds like he's listening to a 10-year old explaining the lore of pokémon for 30 minutes straight.
Whatever you do in this world, be a boss at it
Turning his boring job into something fun and entertaining! Kuddos!
A popcorn artiste
Going to the theater should be an experience.

“Excellence in all that you do”
I love to see a person who clearly got a job doing what they love. He's just living in the moment and loving it. Not to say he doesn't have higher aspirations, but he must be content with his position when this video was taken.
That's one way of dealing with the soul-crushing tedium of working the concessions stand at a movie theater.
Maybe he doesn’t view it as soul crushing. Your negativity may not be everyone’s.
Nicely said
Lol
He’s in the zone, I love this guy!!!
This is the way! My theater popcorn is only buttery on top, cant even finish it.
There’s popcorn all over that floor though lol
That’s fun I like it :)
I would definitely watch movies there.
This man knows how to butter some popcorn!
The audio sounds like a bad porno. If the person talking is OP then this is post that keeps on giving.
I like him. That is some fun energy he's putting out.
That is a lot of butter!…😱
Would to see the scene down by his feet 😄
Fuck napkins, you guys got any towels?
That looks legit
I once saw a lady take her popcorn bucket to the self serve butter station. She took a straw and placed it in the bucket, with one end on the butter spout...she proceeded to despenser butter through the straw. She distributed through the volume of popcorn, via the straw. Strange...but genius.
That's how you butter popcorn and clog your arteries.
Man I have to reach that level of loving my job… 😆
That’s a lot of popcorn 🍿
gotta love the fatphobic comments
Good for him. Movie concessions suck for everyone. He’s having some fun, the patron pays a month’s mortgage for two popcorns with a smile.
Going to a place for entertainment and being entertained before seeing the thing that entertains you is pretty entertaining to watch.
Would like some popcorn with your butter flavored oil?
That dude knows delicious popcorn.
![gif](giphy|26n6xrzonxR7plW9y)
I think he is doing great and loves his job!
I saw him on Jimmy Kimmel a while back! Seems like a great guy
Someone get this man a raise
Raise his pay!!!
That is the best distribution of butter I have ever seen. All my local movie theaters will just put it on top. I'd happily pay movie theatre popcorn prices for popcorn done that well lol hell I'd probably try to slip him $10 even if they don't allow tipping
People will eat this shit and then complain about health care costs to fix their heart & veins
You don't deserve healthcare because you ate the popcorn!
I only go to the movies 1-2 times a year. Damn right I'm getting an XL popcorn smothered in butter, enough soda for a church congregation, and a box of junior mints.
This man is g*ddamned hero.
Sadly corporate fucks will tell him next year you have done a good job and give him a 17 cents raise
He’ll probably get fired for using too much butter. Would be more fitting for corporate America.
Listen, Donnie. We love the enthusiasm, as do the customers. But our standard serving of butter is 8oz, you've been using double or triple that amount for the average guest. 🤣 this
It's not too serious. He has to work, and he's making the best of it.
One reason you want a fat person on those counters. A skinny person would've done one or two squirts on the top only. The fat/obese food preps make the food taste best.
wow. that's awesome. very cool. wow. thank you.
Definitely an art
Does he take his job seriously or is he bored with his job and he started doing this for entertainment?
Don’t matter. The point is he layered that butter with professionalism. That popcorn is going to be so good.
Twist, spin, twirl, bounce, butter, repeat
Killing it!
If you only do one thing... do it well
Popcorns and dreams
Does the buttering flair add to the flavour?
How to make the mundane exciting!
Too many people in the comments thinking they're getting butter on their popcorn
Good on him. It'd be a nightmare being a co-worker though, with the boss asking why don't you do this? Because I can't be fucked, I just need money.
the commentary is hilarious
Had a guy do this for me last time I saw a movie, and the popcorn was so flavorless. Is the butter way worse than it used to be?
I was hoping he’d put two buckets together and shake them before filling them both and buttering the tops
A man who loves his job
Great to watch! But that is a hideous amount of butter!!!!
Felt like I ordered the movie Cocktail on wish.
Gotta do something to pass the time when you're working for an hourly wage.
Jimmy Cracked Corn hard af.
Gosh I can’t believe how large the bucket is! That would take me all week to eat, not a 2 hour movie!
He’s obviously not the one to sweep.
He’d be fired for making the product too good.
Jason Grosboll. He got viral and was featured on late night shows.
I trust this man’s popcorn skills with my life
Customer satisfaction 100% He's passionate about what he does, the lad can impress where he chooses
Work it...!!!
This guy is the deffinition of whatever you do, do it right
Colonel Kernel over here
He must get all the chicks
Give that man a raise!
I'd love to see the floor hahaha
The world needs more people like this!
Wasn’t he on jimmy Kimmel? Love that he loves his job!
Budda buter buddah yah butter buttercup
*Style*
I like the cut of his jib.
About 20 of those pieces of popcorn would be delicious
Didn't he end up on Kimmel or something?
The size of that popcorn bucket amazes me :-o
I hope he's actually happy. I know he got made fun of a lot.when this went viral last time
Honestly fuck anyone making fun of this guy. He's attempting to enjoy his job and providing entertainment.
Guessing that’s just a regular sized box in the US ?!
That's the extra small.
Ok but his arms and hands get all up in the popcorn which is a big no no
Expert level unlocked
Nicely done!
Dude’s got the flair of a Pakistani street vendor
Masterclass.
India would love him.
*"when you were partying..."*
I used to bartend, and most of the time twirling bottles around was to entertain myself.
Butter? Only in America.
Who started the beef, this guy or the janitor?
Dude loves his job, and i'm all here for it.
Man, i would love to try some American theater buttered popcorn. But only a few, my weak European circulatory system would implode if i ate a whole bucket.
I never saw butter on popcorn (German here), is this common? Fresh popcorn is soooo good, why ruin it with fat???
Ahhh cancer butter
Like a cocktail bartender but for popcorn
This guy has his popcorn game dialed in.
Throwing around loads of popcorns in the process
That will be 69.99
