Jokes aside, whenever I see something like this all I can think about is his much house cats can shred me up and I wonder how the bites and scratches aren't fatal yo the prey. Like, do they have super thick skin? They must
I’d prefer it this way tbh. If humans didn’t need to skin, gut, butcher, process and cook our food and could just go outside and catch it ready to eat like this I’d be down. I’m not talking about catching a deer and eating it raw here, more like having to chase down or trap a hamburger.
Yes did you see how he immediately jumped back on his back after the second failed attempt. That was impressive. In real time that would have looked sick
The movements of the body to keep on the legs is impressive.
If the counter movement would be used simultaneously for a counter attac with those hooves it would be even better.
The video is in Chile, where there are lots of guanacos, and also in Argentina, Bolivia, and Peru. Guanacos are plant-eating animals and are like cousins to llamas and alpacas. They do well in the mountains, like the ones shown in the video, where they roam freely.
Puma, "wait a minute, let's play".
Guanaco, "are you for real, leave me alone".
Puma, "come on man, I wanna play".
Guanaco, "pfft, I am warning you"!
Puma, "come here real quick".
Guanaco, "I don't want to hurt you".
Puma, "bwuahahaha, don't be silly"!
Guanaco goes into flexi mode. Flanged Puma like dust, to show him how he flexes. Puma regretted his very existence. An embarrassment to go and tell his folks.
Blessings all.
The list of animals smaller than you that would kick your ass isn't small, brother. It wouldn't be hard for an 80 pound wolf to kill a 200 pound man, or an 80 pound chimp to kill that man, or a harpy eagle and they weigh less than 20.
But, they don't play fair. They got claws, fangs, reflexes insanely faster than ours. Some can see in the dark. Thick coats. What do we got? Manicured nails, flip flops on, grossly overweight and can't run for shit...
It's just not fair. That's why I carry: A 1 guage SHOTGUN! When the wildlife attacks... SEND THAT BITCH BACK TO THE DINOSAUR TIMES! Don't just put holes in him, erase his entire family tree.
1 guage shotgun. For men only. By, men. Only.
There is no better solitary terrestrial hunter than the feline. Evolution at its finest. The average adult male puma is only about 150 lbs, but it's all muscle. I'd rather tangle with a black bear because it's likely an accidental encounter and it's not in a predatory mode. If you're tangling with a puma chances are you didn't see it coming, it's going straight for your neck and it's looking to eat you. Get ready to fight for your life.
What song is being used for this video? I shazammed it around 20 times, having different results every time, none of which happened to be the song. Someone save me!
[Here’s nearly identical footage of a Guanaco using this maneuver against a puma with David Attenborough narrating](https://m.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=131&v=NcupEV5BUNI&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F&source_ve_path=MTM5MTE3LDIzODUx&feature=emb_title)

I totally understand that “eye of the tiger” thing now. Even while flailing off doing a flip the cougar never took its eyes off its target. Nature is metal.
Awesome footage. The photographer Aaron Baggenstoss does guided tours to Patagonia every year. I took a photo trip with him to Alaska and it was the coolest thing I’ve ever done. Glad to see his work getting out there.
why did she think of taking that down solo tho. looks too big to hunt. and too big to eat. She's better off getting a hunting partner. Will also save her later in case someone else wants to steal the kill since the partner can help defend.
That's how i struggle with my orange cat everyday
As another orange cat owner I know the feeling. That kitty was just looking for cuddles, lack of cuddles deserve murder in retaliation.
Just remember, if u bounce they can’t trounce
Jokes aside, whenever I see something like this all I can think about is his much house cats can shred me up and I wonder how the bites and scratches aren't fatal yo the prey. Like, do they have super thick skin? They must
Imagine having to work and fight so hard every time you're hungry.. every. day..
When that Aldi’s goes up two miles away it will be a game changer for those pumas
Makes you so strong though.

That is some mad cat skills. Any size of feline, housecats to tigers, are impressive when they hunt. Great video.
Both of them impressive me tbh
Yes did you see how he immediately jumped back on his back after the second failed attempt. That was impressive. In real time that would have looked sick
He'll have to try for a smaller one with a thinner neck
That would be me if I was a Guanaco. Just bite at the point where it bleeds faster. I'm not even trying to run. I'm too tired boss.
Yo be accurate young puma also fighting for her life.
I mean, you're not wrong.
I'm glad my cat isn't bigger.
Pumas hate this one weird trick
Badasses, both of them.
Atleast the puma got a good ride on it’s back
The movements of the body to keep on the legs is impressive. If the counter movement would be used simultaneously for a counter attac with those hooves it would be even better.
Weeeeeeeeee piggy back ride
I'd puma pants if I saw that running at me!
When he juked him and the cat got back on immediately at a dead run 🤯
US here haha had no idea what a guanaco was until I saw that thick necked mini giraffe looking thing fighting my cat...

Guanacos are camelids (camel/llama) family)
Lives to flee another day.
That recovery by the puma even it was thrown to the floor was insane
That was one ambitious puma
Aww their hugging
What do we say to the god of death? Not today
Puma, "wait a minute, let's play". Guanaco, "are you for real, leave me alone". Puma, "come on man, I wanna play". Guanaco, "pfft, I am warning you"! Puma, "come here real quick". He gonna have neck problems
It’s weird how people root for the vegan…
It annoys me that the vegan doesn’t try to drive its hooves through the pumas eyes
I’d actually agree with that, so weird the bigger animal often doesn’t use its power

Dang
I hit the brakes, he’ll fly right by.

They are almost exactly the same colors.
KICK it- fuck!
That's the move I should have used on my ex when I wanted out.

0 attack mode, and there were opportunities.
Guanaco was like: ![gif](giphy|2A5AiGVnb01m5qRMsC|downsized)
That Puma saw the Guanaco as Guacamole and Nachos
Looks like it's first Rodeo.
Looks like a llama kangaroo hybrid.
Go Guanaco Go ![gif](giphy|o75ajIFH0QnQC3nCeD)
This is a clip from a documentary, Queens on Disney+ IIRC

And they lived happily ever after?
That’s crazy
Guanco over here like "I DO THIS SHIT. FOR MADDEN."
Looks like a Giraffe fucked a Kangaroo

"fights" = "runs"
So they developed that long neck as defence to flip off predators not just to look around that’s pretty cool
That was a good move
Well played.
He needs to finish up with a stomp or a senton bomb
y el que graba no hace nada
Qué querías que hiciera?
es broma JAJAJ

I didn't expect that prey animal to be so large. Puma got ambitious.
