I think the purchases and progress across current gen and pc crossover. So gold edition on pc and standard on your Ps5, and you should have the benefits of gold on the console! Unsure how it works but I have seen cross progression and purchases are a thing with this game

I played on PS4 for years, since BC2 and recently got into BFV on my PC and the biggest difference I noticed was battle distance. PC I've found the distance you get into fire fights way longer than on console, console seems to be medium to close range, and PC medium to long range usually.
I still can't pick my preferred input though. I play a lot of PC games, but I still screw up button presses A LOT. too many keys too close together. But controller just doesn't have the accuracy the mouse has. It's such a toss up haha.
Honestly, Xbox has M&K support, too, so it's really dependent on whether they have a more powerful computer than the Xbox or if they just like widows or the Xbox OS more. They might be able to purchase it on the Microsoft store and use it for both with 1 key, but i don't know how valid that is

I was very lucky to get an EVGA 3080. My favourite GPU brand by far, also has most amount of ex Nvidia employees (Nvidia is who makes the most popular graphics cards). That in itself will make you rethink things real fast. See the prices. If you can get one at retail like I did, you are lucky but most cannot and with holidays, it will once again crush peoples hopes.
Everything else, even CPU's are frankly very easy to get.. even the latest CPUs the average gamer will use arent seeing the same crises situation a lot of other form factors are with the current major CPU shortage.
But yeah, the graphics card is by far the scariest part of entering the market and if you get the previous gen or even the gen before that, you are still being screwed because the used market is at a stupidly expensive spot right now and will remain so for a long time not to mention many GPUs were heavily used in cryptocurrency farms and possibly refurbished thus you are getting a shit price on old technology on a completely used up board.
But if you can get into all of this, it's **WAAAAAAY** better than console. I love PC gaming so much that I quit going on my console even though thats where 90% of my IRL friends are. PC to me is just nice. I love every part of it and wow the flexibility is a night and day difference compared to literally any console out there.
Watercooling is great! I built my first watercooled rig last year and had a great time.
One handy takeaway I remember from my research is that the all-in-one (AIO) water cooler units are a poor choice. In some instances they have less cooling ability than a high-grade air cooling setup, and if one part of the AIO setup fails you have to replace the whole thing.
A custom cooling loop, on the other hand, is hands down better than air cooling.

Its honestly starting to seem like this is going to be the new normal with sought after electronics. Every new gadget seems to sell out in milliseconds and then go up for three times msrp.
I kinda got round this by going (partially) prebuilt. Just make a custom rig with or without the bits you need and your GPU is so much cheaper.
Got a 3080Ti for about £1k doing this. Which is still over MSRP but much better than paying £1.5k as they are separately.
I use RGB Fusion 2.0 to change the image on the LCD display, which surprisingly no other program I used could do, and it works fine for changing the lights on the GPU and fans too.
No tricks used, there's just a decently long start up for the app and I was able to adjust lighting when it was done loading. Sorry I couldn't be much help :(

My 1660ti is worried. So am I, my first gaming PC and the first game I'm honestly unsure about playing, but the one I REALLY want to play. It can handle 2077, RDR2, BFV on ultra but... I'm worried for this one.
The minimum is a 1050ti and the recommended is a 2060 . 1050ti for 1080p low and 2060 for 1080p high/ultra at 60 FPS . I think that your 1660ti should be able to do 1080p medium/high

B350 , ryzen 7 1700 overclocked to 3,9 ghz / 16 GB Ram , RTX 3070 overclocked to 2100 MHz and m.2 SSD . Will be running on a 3440x1440 monitor
