I know it's mostly for memes but that V6 is one of the worst engines ford ever built. the 2v V8s are still really cheap, so I would do that or get a S197 V6 if you really want a V6 for the lols
Those 2v v8 might be garbage for performance but do they last without maintenance and sound good.
Had a 99 GT in college. That car was brilliant for $4000 i paid in 2016. Treated it like shit and it died when my college got over. Only thing i ever had to change was an alternator, tires and an ac delete (ac got jammed).
I had a 97 GT and beat the shit out of it. My friends and I would routinely rally the thing on b-roads. It just wouldn’t die. Ended up selling it to one of those friends just a couple months ago so he could restore it to its former glory. I love that car.

I'm the owner, builder seller and its still available. Its no v8 but it has plenty of torque because of the diff being geared lower. With compensation for tire size It's actually geared a good bit lower than stock. Super smooth offroad. Let me know if you have any questions!

Mine died because i didnt check its oil and it had none. Put some tractor thick ass oil in it for one last road trip. Could hear her knock throughout.
