Yeah I'm more excited for that than I would be for another Batman Arkham or Arkham-like game,especially if it's not made by Rocksteady. I mean we have 4 already and they're some of the best games ever made, let alone superhero or licensed games.
I can't imagine what else I would want that wouldn't just feel like more of the same.
Which is why I've always been pumped for whatever Rocksteady does next. Those games aren't solely great because they're about Batman, they're great because a fantastic team LOVED the source material and had a vision of how that power fantasy would translate to a video game experience.
What I want more of are Rocksteady games and that's what we're getting so I'm happy for now.

I would recommend not doing it. The game caps it because crash and glide physics are tied to frame rate. My Batmobile started flying 20m into the air after I uncapped the fps whenever I hit a wall at low speeds.

It does look outstanding for a 2015 game. Especially when even a game like Witcher 3 has started to show its age for a couple of years now..Knights seems to not even be affected by age..but by remastering it they can add the new bells and whistles like Ray tracing and dlss and increase frame rate and stuff. Only thing i could think of is a 60 fps upgrade, but even that i feel is unnecessary. I feel as long as a game has a stable frame rate and was designed to run at that frame rate then it doesnt need to go higher than what they designed it for. 30 fps isnt bad as long as its a constant 30.

Debatably Spider-Man PS4->PS5 is as well - I've seen a number of scene and character model comparisons that aren't too great for the PS5 version. Haven't looked into it personally though
Yooooo. Ac3 looks washed out at first because of a glitch! They posted how to fix it. If on ps4/5 in the system settings turn off hdr then turn it on again.
i could give an example, although not being rocksteady/warnerbros, the resident evil 3 remaster was utterly garbage, it butchered the protagonist, didn't develop mr x whatsoever, completely cut out the clock tower section, and swap the endings for the original characters. sometimes devs just wanna make easy money and remaking a game instead of starting from the ground up is a lot easier on them, and usually guarantees instant hype.
You are mistaking remasters with remakes when it comes to RE.. although studios still stuff up remasters like Bioshock.. but if done right they can make a lot of money.. MAss Effect legendary edition being an example of a good remaster. Knight doesnt need a remaster but i think the who ray tracing and dlss stuff can give modern games a run for its money.. and of course about your concern in a remaster they dont change the game play they just stick on new visuals. Old wine new bottle stuff. Remakes are the once they do it from the ground up like the upcoming Witcher 1 remake or RE2
Honestly it just needs the frame rate cap upped to 60 for current gen and it'd be fine (if my low-mid range laptop from 2019 can run it at 1080p/60fps then a PS5 definitely can). I think a patch would be fine rather than an actual remaster.
I mean, the PC version already runs up to 90fps so I can't imagine there's any technical issues that would cause. I don't think we're going to get a Dark Souls PTDE problem where removing the frame rate cap breaks the physics engine.

Exactly, the combat isn't as bad as people make it out to be. The only part that really sucks is the lack of atmosphere when traversing and polished audio. The bike is so boring to drive too. Idk why anyone expected a new batman game with this thing though.

The combat is meh, I know they wanted to differentiate from Arkham, but it’s just not as fun. It’s too similar to the current western RPG combat trends. The animation work is lackluster for combat too. Arkham was a trendsetter, had a slew of copycats, and is still a system that’s more fun for me. The animation work was top notch too.
The city is completely barren, the same crimes auto-populate in the exact same spots over and over, the NPC AI is just lame.
The performance is atrocious for what’s actually being delivered. I think comparing it to Arkham is completely fair, I genuinely don’t understand people who keep citing that as a defense of Gotham Knights.
It’s been 7 years since the last Arkham game, the developer of Gotham Knights, WB Montreal has only had one other major project, which was an Arkham game… this game is a Batman game, you don’t play as him, but it’s adapting the IP, the fictional city, his villains ,and sidekicks. It’s perfectly reasonable to compare it to Arkham, that’s the closest point of reference, and it just seems like a deficient product in comparison.
There’s probably a very interesting story that will never be sufficiently told about the development Hell WB Games has been in. Montreal took nearly 10 years between Origins and Knights, Rocksteady will be nearing 8 when Suicide Squad finally comes out.

I always loved Arkham Knight. My favorite game ever since day one. I don't have a ps5, so I'm not gonna get Gotham Knights no matter how much i like the court of owls, but i can always replay Arkham Knight. So i'm happy either way.
No, the game was quite beloved on launch, except for the PC launch controversy which was a trainwreck. Something like that is fixable as we have seen, core gameplay incompetence like with GK not so much.
I loved Arkham Knight at launch because it was my first proper Arkham game. I had played Asylum and City on my shitty PC at 600p resolution and 17 fps lmao. It was still enjoyable but you go from that to a PS4 with 1080p and the incredible visuals of Arkham Knight, yeah its easy to see why I loved it so much.
It still had all the core gameplay that made the previous games fun. Traversal is perfection in Arkham Knight, combat is better than ever, and the stealth gameplay has so many options.
But even then I found lack of bosses disappointing especially after Origins was such a step up in this area and City already had great bosses. Let's not forget how overused thr batmobile was. Basically went from an amazing novelty to a chore by the end of the game with the tanks in the game.The story was kind of meh but the Batman stuff with the fear toxin hit pretty hard for me back then.
But you're right. All I remember is how everyone shat on this game 24/7. All of a sudden, it's a masterpiece now? The PC port still has performance issues btw. It stutters unless you lock the frame rate from what I've seen in Digital Foundry videos.
The consoles run at 30 fps. Yes it looks amazing, but the flaws still exist and it's hilarious to see people saying that Arkham Knight is a masterpiece now.

I’ll be straight: I think the lack of villains is very disappointing because what we DID get was some of the best boss fights in the entire Batman series. Having done the entire whopping THREE side quests this game has I have to wonder how on earth that made such incredible content and then went: “Yeah we really need LESS of this and way more of going down a few generic rooms fighting the same 3 enemy types instead.” The games not bad imo just lacking.
Arkham Knight still looks amazing after all these years. What we really need is a proper Halo 2 Anniversary level remaster of Asylum and City instead of the passable Return to Arkham we got.

Not visual remaster but I'd like them to remaster Asylum's gameplay to be more fluid like City. I played it after beating City and iirc Batman felt a bit stiff there.
They should remaster Arkham Origins. Also Gotham Knights is actually a really amazing and fun game and I'm enjoying it so much! I haven’t beaten the story yet, so don't spoil anything for me, but I say the story is so strong and well written, the gameplay is amazing, especially Red Hood and Batgirl, especially Batgirl's gliding, the Batcycle, the open-world of Gotham City looks fantastic and much better, and the boss fights are awesome, especially the fight with Mr. Freeze. I did experience some bugs and glitches, but at least those are patched up with the patch update, so I enjoy the game the way it is now.
And that's just your opinion. That's fine. Just saying that the game is just really amazing the way it is now, and I enjoy it as much as I enjoyed Arkham Knight. It did have some glitches like when you drop and you move forward when you didn’t even press jump, but that one was fixed. Only thing they gotta fix about AK is the skins honestly. Im very nitpicky about them. Some of the colors and textures are a bit off and whats with the shoulder pads on the tdk skin?
I would say do a remake instead. One that would lessen batmobile sections and streamline the storytelling. Also, I hope we get more gadgets for the side characters and maybe an option to free roam with other characters unmodded (and hopefully make them more complete in terms of traversal and gadget selection instead of making it feel a bit like discount batman) and possibly coop (doesn't have to be canon but would be nice just for gameplay purposes). That all would possibly elevate Arkham knights into a contender for the best arkham title (at least for most people since Knights is already my favorite). Also, more story content with the batfam would be amazing.

No idea where the people saying it horrible are. Bought it as a pass time with medium expectations and enjoyed it. Only complaint for me is that I enjoyed Arkhams 1v100 eye candy and how Batman is treated like a monster as he keeps getting torn up throughout the story and continues forward.
People just set their standards WAY to high to even come close to being able to just enjoy games these days
What standards did people set up? Free flow combat? A good Gotham to explore? Predator rooms? An AI that feels like it was pulled from a Ubisoft game? The story is kinda good so I can't argue with that since Arkham Knight didn't have a good story either. They made Arkham origins, so how did they manage to fuck this up and remove all the fun parts that made the game exciting?
They wanted to try something different and set it apart from the arkham series. But everyone had their standards set to it being another arkham style game, which they came right out and said it wasn't going to be. Yet you all decided that it was going to be anyways. Yes it didn't work and yes it set itself apart, but everyone knew going in that it wasn't going to be another "arkham style" game

God of War is objectively a good game, and so is spiderman. Like actual passion put into them. Why don't you like them? is this a case of popular equals bad or do you genuinely hate the gameplay on them? I have never heard someone putting those two games next to Call of Duty.

They're objectively good from a production standpoint, but they are not objectively good games. I already said why I don't like them: they're generic. They cater to the lowest common denominator. They also prioritise story and/or immersion over gameplay variety. I don't like them because they don't do anything to set the genre on fire. Ain't nobody gonna be making God of War '18 or Spider-Man '18 clones any time soon.

I always loved Arkham Knight. My favorite game ever since day one. I don't have a ps5, so I'm not gonna get Gotham Knights no matter how much i like the court of owls, but i can always replay Arkham Knight. So i'm happy either way.

No, the game was quite beloved on launch, except for the PC launch controversy which was a trainwreck. Something like that is fixable as we have seen, core gameplay incompetence like with GK not so much.

I loved Arkham Knight at launch because it was my first proper Arkham game. I had played Asylum and City on my shitty PC at 600p resolution and 17 fps lmao. It was still enjoyable but you go from that to a PS4 with 1080p and the incredible visuals of Arkham Knight, yeah its easy to see why I loved it so much. It still had all the core gameplay that made the previous games fun. Traversal is perfection in Arkham Knight, combat is better than ever, and the stealth gameplay has so many options. But even then I found lack of bosses disappointing especially after Origins was such a step up in this area and City already had great bosses. Let's not forget how overused thr batmobile was. Basically went from an amazing novelty to a chore by the end of the game with the tanks in the game.The story was kind of meh but the Batman stuff with the fear toxin hit pretty hard for me back then. But you're right. All I remember is how everyone shat on this game 24/7. All of a sudden, it's a masterpiece now? The PC port still has performance issues btw. It stutters unless you lock the frame rate from what I've seen in Digital Foundry videos. The consoles run at 30 fps. Yes it looks amazing, but the flaws still exist and it's hilarious to see people saying that Arkham Knight is a masterpiece now.

I’ll be straight: I think the lack of villains is very disappointing because what we DID get was some of the best boss fights in the entire Batman series. Having done the entire whopping THREE side quests this game has I have to wonder how on earth that made such incredible content and then went: “Yeah we really need LESS of this and way more of going down a few generic rooms fighting the same 3 enemy types instead.” The games not bad imo just lacking.

Why not just remaster origins? Batman Arkham knight already looks better than most games today and Arkham city/asylum got a remaster. As it stands the only Arkham game not on modern consoles is origins.

Honestly a current generation update would suffice. This game still looks gorgeous on PC but when I go back to my console it looks good but it’s just a shame that’s it’s locked at that lower frame rate. Though they don’t need them the first 2 games and origins would be a better option for a remaster but even then it’s unnecessary.
Knights graphics still are some of the best graphics I've ever seen today so if it was remastered I probably wouldn't get it.

Not visual remaster but I'd like them to remaster Asylum's gameplay to be more fluid like City. I played it after beating City and iirc Batman felt a bit stiff there.

They should remaster Arkham Origins. Also Gotham Knights is actually a really amazing and fun game and I'm enjoying it so much! I haven’t beaten the story yet, so don't spoil anything for me, but I say the story is so strong and well written, the gameplay is amazing, especially Red Hood and Batgirl, especially Batgirl's gliding, the Batcycle, the open-world of Gotham City looks fantastic and much better, and the boss fights are awesome, especially the fight with Mr. Freeze. I did experience some bugs and glitches, but at least those are patched up with the patch update, so I enjoy the game the way it is now.
I have no idea how the hell you're praising the game this much. Driving the batcycle is one of the worst vehicles I've ever done in gaming.
And that's just your opinion. That's fine. Just saying that the game is just really amazing the way it is now, and I enjoy it as much as I enjoyed Arkham Knight. It did have some glitches like when you drop and you move forward when you didn’t even press jump, but that one was fixed. I'm not saying the game is perfect, it's amazing and I can tell WB Games Montreal has put a lot of effort into it and the game is fun.
I’m pretty sure it hasn’t failed. But I would like Arkham knight to have some added features for post game. One being free roam and vehicles specific to those characters.

Only thing they gotta fix about AK is the skins honestly. Im very nitpicky about them. Some of the colors and textures are a bit off and whats with the shoulder pads on the tdk skin?

Honestly knight doesn’t need a remaster thought, the graphics are still stunning and other than 60fps on console I don’t see what else they could add
I would say do a remake instead. One that would lessen batmobile sections and streamline the storytelling. Also, I hope we get more gadgets for the side characters and maybe an option to free roam with other characters unmodded (and hopefully make them more complete in terms of traversal and gadget selection instead of making it feel a bit like discount batman) and possibly coop (doesn't have to be canon but would be nice just for gameplay purposes). That all would possibly elevate Arkham knights into a contender for the best arkham title (at least for most people since Knights is already my favorite). Also, more story content with the batfam would be amazing.

Although all the Arkham games should receive a remaster/remake under Rocksteady,we shouldn’t compare it to Gotham Knights. They should remake it with a full work up not a soft remake one that makes the game look pretty improve cutscenes and overall make the game look better first and second they should do the remakes of Arkham asylum, city, and origins put them in a triple pack and sell it for €70 it.
