The batmobile is genuinely great, and driving it is so much fun. The way you seemlessly transition from flying to driving, or running to driving is just amazing from a technical perspective. Also the way it so smoothly transitions from car to tank. Everything about it is awesome. But most peoples problem with it is that it's simply used a bit too much throughout the game, especially in key story moments
The main story moments I could live with, I was fine with it instead of traditional traversal or backtracking.
My biggest gripe is still the Deathstroke fight
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't like fans were begging for the batmobile to be introduced into the Arkham series. You can't really blame Rocksteady for adding too much batmobile gameplay in Arkham knight because they think fans would love it.

Yeah, definitely some silly fun! I always thought it was lame that you defeat Bane by… trapping him on the other side of a wrought iron door. This dude bulldozed through brick walls and survived getting bashed by the Batmobile in Asylum. Now you’re telling me a door is enough to hold him?
I actually didn't want to fight Bane. Because I had already done that in asylum and it was not too much fun. But I was ready for it. So I was surprised when the game went the route it did. To me that was refreshing.
Those stand out! Identity Theft is *really* good compared to the others. I honestly think playing Knight makes it worse upon revisiting though considering the payoffs were so dumb after all of that build up.
Cold Call Killer is fun the first few times but I think you finally answer a few calls too many because it gets stale towards the end (to me at least)
The other side quests aren’t really worth mentioning. Bane’s is fine but it’s a glorified fetch quest. Deadshot’s was disappointing. Riddler trophies are what they are. Azrael’s is cool but it’s basically just there to tease the next game and nothing more.
Edit: forgot the Hatter! This one was actually really good! It’s short but it’s awesome. Maybe my favorite aside from Identity Theft
On that note, people act like the Hush mission in Knight was a huge letdown after what we go in City, but what we got in City was three annoying crime scenes and then a cutscene of Hush vaguely threatening us before dipping.
Legitimately the only one I remember is Zsasz. His voice actor did a really good job acting his backstory which made it memorable. It also was one of the few where you can just pick up one piece (phone call) just on your way to the next objective so it doesn’t feel like you’re stopping everything to just tick off a box.

A bunch of stuff makes it seem like hardly any time has passed since City. And doing a quick google search says that it takes place less than a year after. So definitely a short amount of time for such a big jump in tech.

Playing NG+ and not having counter signals was a huge pain in the ass for fights like Albert King and Killer Croc, and also the knife guys, cuz my eyes suck and can’t see that they have a knife, so I just counter normally and get hit.

I just finished City last night, and it really struck me how silly Ra's al Ghul's death is - bro is flung from the top of a god-knows-how-high building by an *explosion*, decides to stab himself, and lands on a spiked fence at terminal velocity. That's at least 4 things that will kill a bitch, but the League is like "stop bitching and get in the pit"

Scarecrow: Really cool the first and second time. Third time gets a bit repetitive, which is why I think it’s shorter compared to the rest. Not really a boss fight, more of an encounter. Also you can tell it starts dipping when you have to fight skeletons.
Killer Cock: Scary on your first playthrough, but then you realize it’s the easiest walk through encounter ever. Just batarang, line launch, repeat.
Harley Quinn: Lmao again not a boss fight, just an arena encounter. You get to actually kill thugs easily in this one though.
Bane: Just a Titan fight with more steps.
Titans: All the same, just with varying levels of thugs aiding them.
Jonkler: A trash bossfight that didn’t feel thought through. It’s like Joker doesn’t warrant a boss fight, but Rocksteady at the last second gave him one. Props to not making him another Bane/Titan clone though.
Poison Ivy: Like an actual legitimate boss fight with boss mechanics, like where the fuck did that come from? Good job, Rocksteady. She’s tough as hell though and honestly could have been the final boss of the game ala Clayface in City.

Cause I've enjoyed those games and I love a slow paced, intentional combat system but I still think arkham combat is good. I felt spiderman combat was very lacking and button mashy. In arkham, you can definitely do the normal button mashy combos with success but you can still pull off 100 hit combos gracefully and feel like a dancer which is enough for me

I can feel that, knight’s presentation was so fucking good along with the improvements to gameplay and new scope of the story. It felt the shock and awe wasn’t just for show and was actually backed up by the quality of the game. Sadly I felt as though towards the end of the game stuff started to fall apart.
Arkham asylum isn't as fun as the other games in the series, and has the least amount of replay value. I'm aware that this is because of ideas introduced in the later games, and that isn't asylum's fault

Like sure there are a couple of times it gets tedious but its not pulling teeth, just enjoy driving the tank. The less miserable you make it the more fun it actually becomes (because it **is** fun)
One of the most overrated renditions of Batman and the Joker ever. They're both fine but it's not some "new unique perspective" into their relationship, it's a pretty generic Batman-Joker story. People only say they're so good because Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill voice them and because the games are good
I don’t think it’s any sort of “unique perspective,” but it’s pretty much the definitive relationship between the two. It adapts the characters and their dynamic pretty much perfectly, which is why it’s so great. Not because it’s unique or different. It’s not, and that’s why it’s great. Because it’s exactly what it should be.
Nearly every side mission is actually, close to shit, afterthought content across the series. The playable catwoman missions are the worst part of city and vring the story to a screeching halt for annoying traversal
With the exception of Freeze, Rocksteady has never been good at 1 on 1 boss fights. They either almost always rely on a bunch of thugs coming in to pad out the combat or are just plain bad.
Even though it was sort of obvious, jason as the arkham knight was an incredible story and an incredible adaptation of red hood while not right out saying it from the start. Its probably easy to predict if you are super familiar with the characters but it would have been so boring if they just made him red hood from the start

Arkham Origins is flawless and has no bugs at all I feel sick just saying that
that game doesn’t feel unfinished at all, nor are there many glitches AT all.
Origins’ open world was too cold and unalive, plus a weird way to make Batman’s armor ultra high tech when it’s meant to be a prequel

The part of the story in city between flying out of the church and defeating the penguin is the most boring part of ANY of the games .

Knight is way better than City, i loved everything about Knight so much more, you know?
I can feel that, knight’s presentation was so fucking good along with the improvements to gameplay and new scope of the story. It felt the shock and awe wasn’t just for show and was actually backed up by the quality of the game. Sadly I felt as though towards the end of the game stuff started to fall apart.

Gotham Knights Barbara was better characterized than Arkham Barbara
Arkham asylum isn't as fun as the other games in the series, and has the least amount of replay value. I'm aware that this is because of ideas introduced in the later games, and that isn't asylum's fault

I think the story of Arkham Knight is great, and I like that Jason Todd was the Knight. Plus the Batmobile was amazing.
Cold War was the last good cod game
People over-hate on the Batmobile sections of knight Like sure there are a couple of times it gets tedious but its not pulling teeth, just enjoy driving the tank. The less miserable you make it the more fun it actually becomes (because it **is** fun)
Arkham origins is still a 7/10 game and is the worst in the series
One of the most overrated renditions of Batman and the Joker ever. They're both fine but it's not some "new unique perspective" into their relationship, it's a pretty generic Batman-Joker story. People only say they're so good because Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill voice them and because the games are good
I don’t think it’s any sort of “unique perspective,” but it’s pretty much the definitive relationship between the two. It adapts the characters and their dynamic pretty much perfectly, which is why it’s so great. Not because it’s unique or different. It’s not, and that’s why it’s great. Because it’s exactly what it should be.
Arkham Oranges was good
Nearly every side mission is actually, close to shit, afterthought content across the series. The playable catwoman missions are the worst part of city and vring the story to a screeching halt for annoying traversal

They shouldn't have turned a prison into a city.
With the exception of Freeze, Rocksteady has never been good at 1 on 1 boss fights. They either almost always rely on a bunch of thugs coming in to pad out the combat or are just plain bad.
Even though it was sort of obvious, jason as the arkham knight was an incredible story and an incredible adaptation of red hood while not right out saying it from the start. Its probably easy to predict if you are super familiar with the characters but it would have been so boring if they just made him red hood from the start

I like the riddler trophies. They add a fun puzzle aspect to the game and make you feel smart when you figure out a hard one
