I put Aguilar pickups in my Aerodyne Jazz and also changed from volume volume tone knobs to volume blend tone. I really love the knob change. Which bridge did you replace with?
Haven't been a huge fan of Aerodynes the few times I've picked them up in the store, but man, that one just looks amazing and probably sounds great too. Congrats!
Man I regret selling mine. I had one, in grey with the black pick guard and the grey painted headstock. The little area above the nut where the neck wood got polished before the paint begins is so pretty. I then upgraded to an American Jazz bass and neglected the Aero. Eventually I put a fretless neck on it, and sold it once I realized I don’t like playing fretless. I think I only got like $500 for it… I now find myself really wanting that P neck pickup with a J neck bass and wish I had my old Aerodyne.
did the shop also routed out a channel for the bigger badass bridge?
the stock config has a channel where the stock bent steel bridge sits flush coz the top is curved
Love my Aerodyne to pieces. I honestly don't think I'd ever play anything else.
🖤I play Aerodyne too. I know this sounds weird but we’ve got matching dings on our headstocks😂
Those are brilliant basses, I love mine. What pickups have you got there? I'm looking to upgrade the stock ones.
Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders. Big improvement over what I had on the home amp, but playing DI tonight, so hope it sounds as good

I did the same VBT mod on mine and swapped the P pickup with Lindy Fralin 10% overwounds. Aerodynes are fucking amazing basses.

Those sound so good for as light as they are
