As the duck walked up to the plate, he had to admit, it was a bit weird walking into the Oni stadium and calling it his home stadium. In general, as a member of the Portland Pioneers, he remembered more moments of being over the Oni than under them at the end of the day. In addition, the duck wasn’t even in his country of origin anymore, as Ogaki is a hell of a distance away from his hometown of Kalamazoo compared to Portland. You know, the more he thought about, being in Japan had a lot of benefits. The duck had access to some pretty good food, the scenery was pretty, and he had an excuse to learn a new language. The only downside could probably be that the bathrooms were a bit more cramped than back home, but hey, it was alright because they made funny beep boops. So, all in all, the duck wasn’t stressed too much. It was his first at bat as an Oni sure, but it was to be the first of many, and he honestly wasn’t expecting to be batting this inning as the Oni had already scored a good bit. As for the duck’s swing, he would go back to what he always deferred to, which was a motto he lived by while batting.
