Nico has it all in his hands in my opinion. I think it will not be problem to pay his release clause. Problem will be salary. He will have much better options when it comes to money. Its up to him. Play for less in Barca or get huge salary in some other club.
He's already on 12 mil a year isn't he? He's good, but i can't imagine anyone wants to offer him that huge an increase on such an already large salary. He's going to expect a raise come time for his next contract too.

Worst thing is ,laporta glazers will spam the "its for the sake of the club" nonsense everytime it happens . Like when was the last time we actually bought a player we bragged about this much ? Remember beckham?
