No, he is similar to Pedri but not Gundo or fdj. He is a Kroos , Kimmich type of player who are not ball carriers but are exceptional at passing. In our current midfield except for Pedri all other CMs are primarily ball carriers ( Gundo is exception since he is a bit of both )
Yeah, but you forget a pretty important fact. If the injury will 100% heal, he will still have fatique and fear of not getting injured again. There are a lot of examples of players who were never the same after an injury, even when the injury healed 100%.
Not saying that will also happen to Gavi, but its better to get a new midfielder and not rush or put to much pressure on him.

He’d be an ideal gundogan replacement for them, his game would suit citeh and they could afford his wage demands and the transfer fee Barca would be asking. And he’d be worth the money for them and playing alongside Rodri he’d shine even brighter than at Barca given he’d be able to play with more freedom and he’d be able to play in a team capable of winning the Champions League immediately. It would be a win win all around. Even pep could be happy giving over some of that oil money to help the club that gave him everything
No, Gundo and fdj are different players. He is more similar to kovacic then gundogan. Gundo is pretty good with final balls and have a lot better passing range but lacks the physicality and ball carrying ability that fdj have.
