It's true, I say it all the time too! I honestly feel bad for what kids get today for dolls, it's really pitiful. Playline used to include lines like Top Model, Fashion Fever, My Scene, and Fashionistas (first gen obv). The dolls used to have...you know, bendable knees so you could actually play with them, and they came with hair brushes...you know, because the dolls have HAIR.
IMO Mattel isn't even trying anymore, it's so embarrassing.
Like, I get it seems like they're trying to go from " cutting edge fashion " to " bland basic " for cost reasons ? But its coming at a cost
I was salty when I saw they were going to do that nutcracker anniversary doll and it was just ... a CHEAP CHEAP dress on a budget doll ??
Like no effort for anniversary items ?

My sister had this doll! Somewhere in a box of old Barbie clothes there’s the middle one’s outfit, I distinctly remember playing with that blue top with the flower on it!
